2Chainz wasn’t packing brass knuckles when he was arrested today in New York … it was just a harmless 4-finger ring — this according to sources close to the hip hop star.
The ring says “DOPE” in big letters — and sources tell TMZ, 2 Chainz rocked it no problem at an Atlanta club called the Velvet Room on Sunday.
According to sources close to the rapper, Chainz then flew to NYC without incident — with the ring in his luggage — but when he tried to leave the city today, TSA at LaGuardia Airport mistook the jewelry for a dangerous weapon.
2 Chainz was arrested at the airport for possession of a criminal weapon around 1:45pm this afternoon when officials found the 4-finger ring in his bag.
The rapper is currently still in custody as the NYC Port Authority PD works this all out.

*UPDATE* 2 Chainz is out and recently boarded a private jet to his next destination…

I’m ridin around and i’m gettin in trouble.
This ain’t the first time this has happened to people. TSA at one airport will let it slide while the TSA at another airport will act all crazy. It’s ridiculous. If he’d known that it was dangerous when he went through TSA the first time, he woulda left it at home.
And I’m guessing they arrested him for it because he was a rapper. Ya’ll know good and well that 2 don’t get into trouble.

What’s happening is the white man is assuring that colored people have no weapons to defend themselves. The white man controls who can legally own a firearm or stun gun or even pepper spray! That leaves us to obtain weapons illegally which so happens to get us in trouble with the law.
Had 2Chainz been white like Eminem, it would be no problem but because he is a black rapper (with dreads and ink) then he is assumed to have a weapon instead of a ring. Wake up y’all!
