In contrast, about 43% still believe Facebook will likely be successful for the long haul.
The Associated Press/CNBC Poll was conducted May 3-7, 2012 by GfK Roper Public Affairs and Corporate Communications.
It involved landline and cell phone interviews with 1,004 adult Americans ages 18 and over and has a margin of error of 3.9%.
