DeShawn Snow formerly of The Real Housewives of Atlanta recently held an exclusive book signing for her new children’s book series.
The event, held at Mingles Bar & Lounge in Downtown Atlanta Thursday, May 3, 2012, was atteneded by several of Snow’s close friends and supporters and even Pat Houston (Whitney Houston’s former manager/sister in-law) stopped through to show support.
As you know, the ex-RHOA reality star has the esteemed title of being the first wife booted from the popular reality show and at the time, it was due to the fact that her storybook storyline during the show’s first season was a bit too boring.
Apparently Bravo gave up on DeShawn too soon because her life changed drastically once the cameras stopped rolling and after suffering through a tumultuous divorce from her cheating retired NBA baller hubby, DeShawn shed the baggage and a ton of weight and has now renewed herself as a children’s book author.

I spoke with DeShawn at length during the event and she reveals that she’s glad the camera’s weren’t rolling during all of her personal trials.

DeShawn and I spoke about what she’s been up to in the years since she left the show and she revealed that while she did go back to school to get her Masters of Divinity, she didn’t finish. But with three rambunctious boys to raise, I’m sure it was a challenging task to maintain.
Snow says she developed the Lil Shawnee book series

this chic had to know eric snow was cheating on her. she said on the show that she always made these financial mistakes and here come eric paying for her wasting money. this chic was so dense and dumb and a straight up airhead. now im not saying eric cheating on her was ok, he should have just left her and not cheated! further more…she should have been lost weight and always been in shape, you have a million dollar lifestyle and you still fat? really? this woman barely did anything….she was a spoiled brat…she needed the wake up call..women like her make me puke, i will not feel sorry for her! she should have been on her grind long before this!

DeShawn was always a ‘go getter’ and about her foundation and that’s to be commended for sure. The problem was though that she wasn’t into the whole ‘drama’ thing. Therefore, she stayed clear of it (TRULY above the drama), but since that time, DeShawn has continued to GROW in so many other [positive] ways. Plus, she was going back to school to receive her Master’s Degree in Divinity at the time. #GO DESHAWN!!!!!!

She was dull and boring and that was why Bravo decided not to have her come back, she didn’t have a story line and she wasn’t in the drama. Also She did know Snow was cheating on her, but she also knew that she had this big house and money coming in so she looked the other way.
She was only boring to people who didnt/dont know class and how to conduct yourself with grace and poise she was my favorite and im glad to see her still doing her thing (something positive) i for one have nothing bad to say about her. And for all those negative comments on stuff that shouldnt even matter, my question is what are yall doing positive and good and your community

She was boring and always referred to her circle as "Elite Society". That was annoying. She wanted to be important and a social climber. I’m not sure why she needed an assistant, publicist, nanny, chef, and a house manager. She was doing the most and appeared lazy as hell. That fundraiser was a joke. She is wack. Get a real job for once.
Why is it always our fault when a ninja cuts up…she should have lost weight did this did that…no he should have respected his wife enough to keep it in his pants. Ain’t nothing a woman can do to stop a Man from Getting around not weight loss not a home cooked meal not some good head. If its in his heart to do it Its Getting don’t. I’m proud of her…why do we always want to pull eachother down? Let her have her shine!

Deshawn is what 40 pounds lighter….guess Eric was making her gain the weight with his whoring. She looks very good and no ,all of us arent against seeing her succeed. I give her mad props for standing strong in the face of all the BS she’s had to endure.
I’m going to order these books for my God daughter. Rarely do I see books geared towards African American tween girls, with a positive message and current look to them. I’m sort of upset that they are only avaible on the Kindel or Nook @ Amazon & BN. I don’t know many 3rd – 6th graders that own those expensive devices.
