Parks is getting a ton of airplay for her adorable son, who recently was featured on the show celebrating his 1st birthday complete with 12 cakes to honor each day of his young life.

In usual “Phaedra” fashion, baby Ayden’s christening was complete with a “Coming to America” like ceremony where the lil prince was carted in on a pedestal after being announced by a small group of children.
Parks mother and father, who are both pastors officiated the ceremony and at least two other housewives attended.

As with any RHOA event, there was a bit of drama.
Kim decided to confront Cynthia about the “Black baby” comment (nope… it won’t go away).
If you recall, when the ladies were in S. Africa, Cynthia said something to the effect of she couldn’t see Kim visiting S. African orphanages or visiting South Africa at all for that matter. After a whole lotta she say/she say about who said what, it was finally determined that it was Cynthia who made the comment.
Kim, dead set on proving that she’s not a racist regardless of what anyone has to say about it, confronts Cynthia who admits she said something similar and eventually apologizes.
My take on the situation? Hell… Kim did NOT go to Africa and we did NOT see her at the S. African orphanage holding any Black babies. So in effect, Cynthia’s assessment about not “seeing” Kim there is correct. No one could SEE her there because she was NOT there. We didn’t see Kim there on screen, so the whole dayum argument is moot.
Now… can we move on from the “black baby” debate? Geeez….

I have never heard of this ceremony before. I thought when you baptized the child you are stating that you will bring the child up in the christian way. This seems unneccessary and another way to put a dollar in the church’s pocket and show off your kid. Phaedra son is going to be super spoiled but hey its her money.

I love me some Phaedra, but she is pretentious as shit and she’s too over the top AND all of her clothes ARE ALWAYS too damn tight. She is pretending to be something she is not. I work with 4 lawyers RIGHT now who would never conduct themselves in that way, and all of the lawyers I work with make close to $200,000 a year or close to it (one makes $190,000 a year and my boss makes $278,000 a year) and NONE of them would blow that kind of money on no damn 1 year old…does Phaedra even bring in that kind of money? Seems like her only clients are has beens and low level drug dealers.

when i had my daughters christened, when it was time the Pastor called us up , the parents and God parents, he had a bowl where the water was, my girls had on a beautiful dress (Christening dress) like a lil wedding gown with hat to match and you pass the baby from the parents to the God parents and then the Pastor bless the baby with water and pray over the baby..i didn’t see no God parents because the God parents suppose to agree to care for the baby i fanything happends to the parents. didn’t she see the movie THE GODFATHER?! she so stupid!!!!

I disagree with you in regards to Cynthia’s comment about Kim going to an S. African orphanage. I felt there were racial undertones, and yes, Kandi did seem to agree with Cynthia.
