You may have heard by now that Whitney had a 22 year old son, Nick Gordon. Gordon wasn’t Houston’s biological child, but she cared for him for over 10 years and raised him as if he were her own after his own mother couldn’t take care of him.
While no official paperwork was done, Whitney claimed Nick as her “adopted” child.
Cissy Houston, Whitney’s mom, is in control of Houston’s estate and is making major changes to make sure her granddaughter, Bobbi Kristina, who has reportedly had her own problems with drugs and alcohol, doesn’t travel the same path as her famous Mom and Dad.
Reportedly, one of those changes is kicking Nick out of Bobbi Kristina’s life AND her Atlanta home!
TMZ is reporting that Cissy is on a mission to eradicate the bad influences from Bobbi Kristina’s life … and she’s starting with Nick, the 22-year-old man who Whitney treated like her very own son.
Cissy Houston believes Nick is a bad influence on her granddaughter and wants him OUT of the Houston family home in Atlanta … ASAP.
We’re told Cissy has already informed her lawyers about the eviction … in case he puts up a fight.
There is speculation that Gordon may get a portion of Whitney’s estimated $20 million dollar estate, if she included her in the will. If not… sources say that Bobbi Kristina, who grew up with Nick and treats him as her brother, will make sure he’s ok:
Nick was family, she loved him as much as any mother could love a child.
If he is not written into her will and everything goes to Bobbi then it will only be because it was written before she took Nick into her family.
If that’s the case, Bobbi will make sure Nick is taken care of because it’s what her mom would have wanted and he’s like a brother.
Cissy may be feeling some kinda way after finding out about Nick’s legal issues.
In 2011 Gordon was charged with gun possession in Roswell, Georgia, after a night out with Bobbi Kris, but apparently he was only taking up for his lil sister.
Nick reportedly pulled the gun on Bobbi Kristina’s ex-boyfriend after the couple had gotten into a fight. The same night Bobbi K. was also arrested for being in possession of alcohol as a minor.
I totally understand WHY Cissy feels the need to protect her granddaughter, but perhaps she’s going about it the wrong way. Thoughts?

I understand where Cissy is coming from, but the removal of the influences does not change the person you are trying to protect from themself. At some point, you have to look at your seed and stop blaming the dirt.
I don’t know about this one but she needs love AND REAL (Nick probably REALLY CARES ABOUT HER) FAMILY love is the best. It seems as though she’s not really connected to her siblings from her Dad. I pray that she doesn’t feel too alone. GOD BLESS BOBBI KRIS.
Right now, what Bobbi Kris needs is everybody in her life that loves her to place a hedge of protection around her. And that includes young Nick. It’s obvious from the pictures that he was more to Whitney than just a boy she took in. She loved that boy and she would not want him out there bad. I hope this family stops doing this. They aren’t hurting anyone but Bobbi Kris and disrespecting what Whitney would have wanted.

I understand how it feels to lose someone. But, I think Cissy needs to settle down. I think in the end she is going to be part of the problem. She is trying to blame everyone else for her daughter and granddaughters problems. When all in all they chose the life they live. Stop blaming everyone else. You can make then get help and try to make them stay away from certain people but if thats not what they want then its not going to happen. They have to want it for themselves. And if Bobbi Kris is anything like me. Just cause you tell me not to mean I’m going to do it.

Cissy is doing things the wrong way right now pushing all the people who’s been there all these years out of that girls life ,like her dad and sisters and brothers maybe thats why Whitney turned out like she did ,not because of Bobby but because of her hmmmmmm.She keeps up with this and we will be reading about lil Bobby .Sometime to much love can push you the wrong way.Cissy dont push these people away from her she needs them too right now theres love for everyone ,she old enough to no right from wrong talk to her and ask her what she needs right now,you cant live her life

I agree @ Liz. Also Bobbi Kris is legally an adult, does anybody really believe that anyone can keep her from being involved with her siblings, father, friends, etc.? If she wants them in her life? Maybe the heart breaking experience Bobbi Kris just had was the ultimate eyeopener and it seems SHE’S doing some housecleaning and Cissy is straightforward enough to act on her behalf. Besides where is all this Hate Cissy coming from, while Whitney was alive the only so called negative thing we heard about Cissy is that she tried unsuccessfully to have Whitney involuntarily committed for her drug addiction. What loving parent wouldn’t try to save their child’s life by any means necessary? For all y’all who have never experienced it and think anyone should continue to tolerate hanger-ons, druggies, leeches and other parasitic ppl. all because they say they love you….you would never ever say this if you ever had to stand over a 6ft deep hole in the ground and watch as they begin to toss the dirt onto the casket. To Cissy this was her daughter and all the cheating, court cases, jail sentences, drugs, fights, ignorant azz interviews, fleeing airports where they’ve been found with marijuana, gallavanting all over the place looking and acting like fools….lil Bobbi Kris in tow… I’m sure there were times she disliked Whitney because of her behavior and choices and I’m sure Whitney had issues with Cissy because all druggies want everyone to believe their foolishness and go along to get along. If Whitney didn’t put him out why should Cissy? I’m sure Cissy and the rest of the Houston family know that Whitney would not have wanted that. Again as usual, we really don’t know the facts. I just hope that Bobby Kris can get some peace and resolution. She is suffering a deep blow and that’s the loss of her mom. I just want her to one day stand strong. As for Nick, it just proves more that Whitney was a diamond in the rough and I’m sure she meant so much to him. At least she got him through some hard times and got a chance to live good. I just hope that he takes that love she gave him and get’s himself together. He is grieving too. It’s one of life lessons that nobody really owes anybody anything…and it’s time for him to move on.

Only GOD can change Bobbi Kristina. Cissy should make sure that she consults him before she makes any decisions. If the young man is there so called "leeching" off the Houston (Whitney)money, Whitney did not consider it robbery. Why not support a young black man to get education or training without having to worry about rent and bills.Everyone wants young people to stand on their own without help from parents. Who really does that? I can’t think of a better use of money.

I have to say this. We are talking about a CHRISTIAN WOMEN and I’m using that term loosely. You daughter just passed and you the christian are treating her father like nothing. Forgiveness, what happened to that? And why is Whitney’s mother in control when she has a daughter? Everyone should be coming together for the sake for Whitney’s child. I do think they should be getting her treatment so we don’t have to read about another sad tragedy. But she is rubbing me the wrong way, being a christian women and all. I know Whitney did not have the best judgement, but stop hurting the people that she loved. That is just wrong to me. On so many levels.
Michael Jackson did that too. Treated a child like family, and didnt provide for them like a real family member upon their death. While it’s nice that Whitney helped him out, I feel it’s cruel to just leave them destitute. You’d think they would have some kind of trust fund for them.
I saw the Oprah interview that whitney did years ago. Her daughter said ‘my mother is my best friend. I think of he more like a SISTER" and that is the problem. Instead of being a mother to that child, Whitney treated her like an equal. Like her buddy. Her daughter is on drugs because of her. Not her father.
