The body that was found Monday afternoon has now been positively identified as that of Stacey Nicole English, the Atlanta woman who has been missing since December 26th.

According to WXIA-TV, Tony English, the father of the missing Buckhead resident, told 11Alive News he received a 7:15am phone call this morning (January 25, 2012) from the Fulton County Medical Examiners office, confirming that a body found in southeast Atlanta Monday evening is that of his missing daughter.
The Fulton County Medical Examiner finished the initial phase of an autopsy on the body Tuesday night, but did not confirm that the remains belonged to English until Wednesday.
According to family, English received updated dental X-rays two days before she went missing. There was a delay in obtaining those new dental records when her family could temporarily not locate her medical cards and her purse.
Cindy and Kevin Jamison, English’s mother and stepfather, talked to 11Alive News from their Jonesboro home Tuesday evening.
You look at the news and you see the picture of our daughter and they’re talking about this body that was found, but they’re already making the association.
It really tugs at us a lot harder.
Now the family can finally put their daughter to rest with a proper burial but there are still no answers to the events which lead to her death. The Medical Examiner’s office said that further tests are needed revealed the cause of death.
Meanwhile, Robert Kirk, the last person reported to have seen Stacey alive hit facebook about an hour after her body was found to proclaim a “fresh start”…

There is an individual who I met on the Internet a couple of years ago, who lives in the Vanderbilt where Stacey lived and disappeared from. On the outside he seemed very nice, but there was an incident where I saw another side to him.. Like creepy stalker side.. It makes me wonder if Kirk left as he said and if stacey knew the creep I dated, and confided and him and something went terribly wrong… Whatever happen it was someone she knew who had access to her condo and car…

Fresh start my @ss, he got some explaining to do. he lawyered up real quick which is why he’s out of jail. I believe that the cops are just building a strong case on him now that they found the body they can search all types of security cameras in the area of her apartment, location of the car and the surrounding area of where her body was found to see the perp. even though it’s sad that she was found dead , it’s also a blessing for the family to have and closure and maybe it will yield some evidence in this case.

This is so sad but she had been missing for so long and the chances were high that she was not alive. Feel so bad for her family. Why is it when a black woman goes missing, it takes so long to find her body and even longer to determine how she died and who killed her? This Kirk fellow is laughing because he knows society doesn’t care about the fate of black women. Let Stacey have been some died blonde Becky going missing on an island or walking into an airplane blade and it would be all over the news 24/7 with tv movies in the works but let an African-American woman meet foul play and we get nothing. Breaks my heart. I hope Kirk, his friends, and whoever hurt this girl get the full weight of the law crushed onto them.

This is such a sad story on many levels. First she is missing for over a month and then her body is found not far from where her car was discovered. The Atlanta police botched this entire case from the moment her car was found. I just read on Hip Hop Enquirer that they spoke to Robert Kirk on the phone and according to them his response was strange when they asked him about his association with her. If he was the last to see her and then he claims to the police that she was acting strange and accused him of being the devil is very questionable. Obviously if he did in fact kill this young woman he already had enough time to plan an alibi and then to retain a lawyer before you are even a suspect makes you look even more guilty. According to him, the two had a fight and she told him to leave her apartment and supposedly he catches a cab and go to a hotel? Or maybe they did have a fight and it got out of hand and he killed her, placed her body in the trunk of her car and drove her to the place where she was discovered. Afterwards, moved her vehicle to the place where her car was discovered and found a way to leave the area. This Buckhead woman would have never came in that seedy area on her own and the parents are right to suspect foul play as any parents would know what their kids would or would not do.
Okay, so we can say that "something not right in the water." But I mean, if the police can verify what this man did, as in, he got in the car, left her apartment and checked into a hotel, then what are we talking about? And I’m sorry, I would’ve lawyered up too if someone was accusing me of being involved in a murder.
Especially since he had a public events page, I don’t see anything wrong with him trying to start a new Facebook page. Especially since they didn’t confirm that it was her body until the next day. Plus, think of how many people went to harassing this man! I’m not saying that he might not know something – I’m not declaring guilt or innocence. I’m just saying that we’re condemning someone where there are facts that have been confirmed by the police that lead us away from him. We need to back up.
I feel terrible for what has happened to Stacey English, but I think that now the concentration needs to be on finding answers – whether they include Robert Kirk or not. Someone died. THAT is the main point. Pointing fingers at people that have been cleared as "persons of interest" is pointless in finding the real answers unless new information points to him again. Just my thoughts…..
I think He is responsible for her murder. I see these sort of cases on 48hours mystery all the time. Normally, unless she had a stalker of some enemy which I doubt, then he is probably more than 100% responsible for her death. I don’t think she really knew who he was. There are a lot of sociopaths out there and most of them are good liars and are able to commit crimes without a care in the world.

It’s crazy to read a story about someone who has meant so much to you. I knew this woman personally. I was actually her boyfriend before college and a year into college. was gonna marry her but her mom said no. We tried the long distant relationship before we went our seperate ways. Mainly because I joined the Military and moved away to the West Coast as she was doing the same going to school in Virginia. I just seen this woman 9 months to a year ago. Still as beautiful as ever and doing quite well. I just Ran Across this story today…. (UNBELIEVABLE). 6AM West coast time and I actually cried. because I knew this girl very well at one point. This guy…. a so called ladies man just cant have a heart. Because if he knew the Stacey I knew. Then he would sobb too,dont know if he did. It seems to me he could care less. But I wasnt there. And the Media portrays people the way they want to. But from the Story looks strange but I dont know what happened. All I do know is in a way you kinda feel like if things would have worked out differently for Stacey and myself that she would be alive today. very sad. Stacey! I have always and still do Love You!
