Andre Davis, the former professional wrestler who was found guilty of not disclosing his POSITIVE HIV status to several sex partners has been sentenced.

Davis, 29, who used stage names including Gangsta of Love and Sweet Sexy Sensation, was convicted back in November of 14 counts of felonious assault for having sex with women without telling them he’d tested positive for the virus that causes AIDS.
Prosecutors proved that Davis violated state law by not telling a dozen sex partners about his HIV status or flat out lying to them about it.
According to theNew York Daily News, Davis told the judge during Monday’s sentencing hearing that he was a “sex addict” and that his addiction grew worse when he realized he’d lost his dream of becoming a professional wrestler after getting the HIV test results.
The self-professed “sex-addict” said sex addiction is probably the worst addiction anyone could have.
“Drugs and alcohol are terrible, but sex is something everybody wants,” he said.
Davis, who said he didn’t disclose his HIV test results because he didn’t want his family to know, said he never intended to hurt anyone.
“I am not a monster,” he said.
Davis’ attorney claimed his client was sorry for what he had done and that the women Davis slept with also bared some responsibility for choosing to have unprotected sex.
Due to cmedical privacy laws, the judge in the case prohibited attorneys from bringing up whether any of the women were actually infected with the virus, which can be transmitted through unprotected sex.
Davis found out about his HIV status in July 2009, when World Wrestling Entertainment wouldn’t hire him because he failed his physical and tested positive for HIV.
Davis, who could have received over 100 years in prison, faces similar charges in a another county in the State of Ohio.
32 years for possibly infecting 12 women with HIV comes a lil over 2 and half years per victim.
The moral of this story? LADIES, you are responsible for YOUR own bodies. Yeah… he lied and now he’s serving time, but those of you who chose to raw dawg are now facing a possible death sentence too! There are no winners in this case. *sigh*

No justice was not served, but that is why we all need to invest in condoms, because 15 minutes if that for a feel is just not worth it when u read these kind of stories.

I recently told a friend more woman in the ages 30-66 years old are getting HIV from not knowing and expecting the man not to have a disease. I get checked and expect my new sex partner has been checked, also, if he refuses than he is kicked straight to the curb.

Why are we assuming the women had unprotected sex with him? Maybe they used condoms and the condom broke. Also, isn’t he married? That means he potentially infected his wife too. What is a woman who wants children by her own husband supposed to do? And how did he get the virus? Somebody gave it to him or maybe he used drugs I don’t know. It seems that other than abstinence there is no way to be 100% safe today. I don’t feel locking him up will protect the community because he, being good looking and light skinned, will just get raped in prison and then the person who raped him will have HIV and give it to someone else and that person will spread it etc. This is an epidemic and a costly one at that.
I hope those infected women don’t spread it. I’m not trusting their asses either. Seems when people get infected they get angyr and want to take that anger out on another person. That’s why the disease is spreading IMO. Everyone is looking to victimize another person. SMH
