Jennifer Hudson’s newest Weight Watcher’s commercial features her big and small self singing a duet of “I Believe in You & Me”. The new ad spot aired during the X Factor finale last week.
As you know, J-Hud has shed at least 80lbs since signing on with the popular diet company and dropped from a size 22 to a size 0, a feat some feel was reached with surgical assistance in addition to her eating habits.

Jennifer has moved past the drama and even launched her very own Weight Watchers Diet Center in her hometown of Chicago and she appears to be getting smaller by the minute.
She has wrote of her diet struggles in a new book, entitled, I Got This: How I Changed My Ways and Lost What Weighed Me Down, where she reveals she turned down the title role in the movie Precious because she didn’t want to be typecast as just another “fat” actress.
Details PLUS watch J-Hud vocally battle her bigger self below…
In an excerpt from her new book featured in Uptown Magazine, Jennifer revealed that around the time she was wrapping up her run of appearances and award shows for the Academy Award-winning movie “Dreamgirls,” she was asked by director Lee Daniels to play the lead role of “Precious.”
Do you know how difficult it is to find a 300lb. black girl to be great in a movie? They don’t exist in Hollywood.
She turned down the opportunity because the thought of packing on pounds (like she did for “Dreamgirls”), was too much to bear:
I had [gained weight] with Effie [in Dreamgirls]‘ and as much as I was moved by this film, I wanted to try a role that had nothing whatsoever to do with my weight.’
Shortly thereafter, Hudson went on to co-star alongside Sarah Jessica Parker in the first “Sex and the City” movie, while Sidibe (who cut class to audition for the role) won acclaim with her breakout role in the film.
I’m a firm believer in the affirmation ‘what’s truely yours can never be taken away’… so clearly everything that happened in that situation was destined to be.
Jennifer became the spokesperson for Weight Watchers in April of 2010, about nine months after giving birth to her son David Daniel Otunga Jr.

Can you blame Jennifer for giving up the opportunity? Especially considering her lucrative Weight Watchers sponsorship and her focus on losing weight?

Who cares I’m not feeling the fat/ skinny JH. She’s a true bitch. Jmo
Question. How is she a “true bitch”? Like what did she do.
I said this before and i’ll say it again. I’m happy for J-Hud for losing the weight but she needs to admit to some sort of surgery. Unless she has 80lbs. of lose skin roll and tucked in some spanks, she’s had some procedure done. You don’t look that good losing weight without some nip and tuck procedures. I saw a picture of her inner arms and you could clearly see scar lines.
Another year and more JHud and WW commericals……please can we just get someone else. I like her but damn, did ANYONE else lose weight with WW…..anyone?!?!?!?
I am happy for her, but I am tired of seeing her, Please have a SEAT!!!
Who cares if she had surgery. The important thing is that she achieved her personal goals so I aint mad at her. Having said that, is it me or does the duet sound totally whacked?
it sounds totally wack. also i thinks she looks better with a little weight on her
*sigh* she never said she was a size 0. Anywho get it jhud.
Oh an by the way I’ve seen ppl go from really overweight to really small with in months, with dramatic weight loss.. customer here, lol so its possible to lose a LOT of weight without surgery. WW is a good program too.
It took Jennifer Hudson 2 years to get to the size she is. If you are consistent and work out hard; you can lose that amount of weight in that time and be toned. I don’t understand why people think it’s so hard to lose weight w/o help. It is safe to lose 2 lbs a week with proper diet and exercise. She also has the money to work out with a personal trainer as long as she wants and as often as she likes. So it is possible she did it the old fashion way.
I think Jennifer looks great but I can not stand that commercial. The constant screaming irks my soul!
i dont think she had surgery t o loose the weight…she wasnt even that big in the beginning and it took her 2 yrs the weight came off gradually….she has been through so much so this prob was therapeutic for her as well a way of healing and taking her mind off things
