Atlanta police have identified a 28-year-old local rapper by the name of Vinson Hardimon, aka Young Vito, as a suspect in the murder of Brick Squad rapper Slim Dunkin.
Authorities have signed a warrant for Young Vito’s arrest and are now looking to take him into custody for questioning.
Slim Dunkin (real name Mario Hamilton) was killed Dec. 16 after being gunned down at a southeast Atlanta recording studio. He was allegedly killed after an argument over candy turned physical.

Det. David Quinn urged Hardimon to turn himself in for his own safety, to avoid any opportunity for retaliatory violence.
We want to reach out to Young Vito, Vinson Hardimon, to come holla at us.
I want the family of Mr. Vinson Hardimon to give us a call, let us know. We are fearful for his safety, because we don’t want anything to happen to him.
Slim Dunkin’s funeral will be held this morning (December 23, 2011) at 11 am at Berean Christian Church in Stone Mountain. Burial will follow at Hillandale Memorial Gardens in Lithonia.
Waka Flocka Flame and Gucci Mane have reportedly committed to paying the bulk of Slim Dunkin’s funeral expenses.

This is the saddest thing. Folks will kill for little of nothing these days. Prayers to the family and loved ones. It truly wasn’t worth the end result.

The media takes an already grief stricken families moments and then adds insult to the injury. It already seems as if a black persons life has no value whatsoever in the hood, but to then say a person became so enraged over candy that it drove a man to commit murder of another is cruel and disgusting. That is some irresponsible journalism! The only thing that happened to quickly end this man’s young life is the deterioration of Hip Hop who’s negative impact has claimed yet another life. This is what happens when you have a bunch of thirsty, Ego driven hopefuls who are Desperate and hopeful for the next break out Rapper to put them on and they start Beefing with the one who is gaining some momentum and attention in the music business. So tempers are flared from jealousy,lies,rumors and drama that already exists behind the scenes and this was the end result. That’s why LAME Flocka Flame and Gucci Mane feel so guilty about his murder as they should, because this "NEVER" should have happened! How is it so easy to get or stash a gun in the studio? And why it gotta be a hundred n.i.g.g.a.s in the studio at any given time? How can any work get done with so much ciaos? So I feel they should have covered the funeral expenses,but even still I smell a MAJOR lawsuit in the works, because he should have been safe inside of the studio itself…
