Lo (real name Carlos Walker) became violently ill from complications associated with diabetes. Shawty Lo has dealt a with the disease for over 11 years now and was even the subject of a vicious rumor after being hospitalized several times over the years.

Shawty Lo’s manager Johnnie Cabbell recently confirmed with VIBE that the rapper is in stable condition and resting.
“He suffers from diabetes and had to seek immediate medical attention, although he is now resting and doing well,” said Cabbell.
Lo made headlines earlier this year, when he spoke of joining 50 Cent’s G-Unit records (click HERE if you missed that) and recently confirmed that “G-Unit” will be powering overhead costs for his D4L Records label. Since he was spotted dropping a ton of dough on Louboutin sneakers, we can only assume Fiddy’s new “50/50″ deal was very lucrative.
At any rate, let’s all keep Shawty Lo in our prayers, Fiddy needs him, his 10 kids need him, and we need him to drop some more of that Bankhead music that he’s best known for.
