Police were called to a location in the 1300 block of Boyd Avenue in northwest Atlanta around 5:30 a.m., Sunday morning, where reportedly thousands of dollars in studio equipment was taken by strong-arm bandits.
According to the AJC, man and woman had stepped out of their vehicle and two armed men jumped out of the bushes and forced them inside.
The man and woman, who reportedly are caretakers of the studio, were forced into a house and bound with duct tape and zip ties, police say.
The victims were tied up and held at gun-point, while two assailants stole recording equipment, two long guns and an undisclosed amount of cash.
The estimated value of all items lost in the robbery is reportedly $50,000.
The two people were able to free themselves and ran to a friend’s home a mile away, where they contacted police. No injuries were reported and no arrests have been made, according to police.
Yung Joc wasn’t there at the time of the incident, but shared an image of his stripped studio via Twitter, and expressed being thankful his employees were unharmed:
Authorities confirmed that Joc, whose real name is YaMar Jon Robinson, owns the property that was robbed.
I guess it’s getting real out there in the field huh?
