I seriously can’t keep up with all the new reality shows these days… every day a new one is on the way!
Tamar, the youngest of the Braxton clan, has always been vocal about stepping out of sister Toni Braxton’s shadow. Well now she’s finally getting a chance to shine on her own.

Trina, Traci & Towanda Braxton recently did an interview for Sister 2 Sister where they spoke about all the drama on the 2nd season of their WE reality series Braxton Family Values and they revealed that Tamar and Vince will soon be branching off to star in their own reality series.
No word on if shooting for Tamar and Vince’s new show has begun yet, but it is said to premiere sometime in 2012.
Tamar has consistently remained a fan favorite on Braxton Family Values, and she’s also a favorite of the blogs, she spoke about it a few months ago at a private screening for the show.

Tamar’s personality notwithstanding, hubby Vince could also lend to the excitement, being that he’s the man behind several top artist, including Lady Gaga and formerly Tamar’s sister Toni Braxton (until she reportedly fired him back in October).

WE tv announced today that the network has greenlit the original series Tamar & Vince (working title) for its 2012 programming slate. The series will showcase Tamar Braxton and husband Vincent Herbert as they navigate their hectic lives, from Tamar’s solo album to Vince’s busy career as a successful music producer. WE tv has ordered eight, one-hour episodes tentatively scheduled to premiere in fourth quarter 2012; production begins in March.
“Tamar & Vince is a great addition to WE tv’s schedule, especially as we expand into a third night of original programming catering to the underserved audience of African-American women that love Braxton Family Values,” said Kim Martin, President & GM, WE tv. “Tamar is a huge part of what’s made that show such a success; she is completely over the top and our viewers just love her!”
“We are so very excited for this amazing opportunity,” said Braxton. “With our family series, Braxton Family Values, we aim to show audiences the true meaning of family and sisterhood, and with our new show, marriage. Our journey as two driven individuals that love as hard as we work is one we think audiences will relate to.”
Tamar & Vince is a spin-off of WE tv’s hit original series, Braxton Family Values, where youngest sister, Tamar, has proven to be the show’s breakout star. This new show will follow Tamar in her ongoing pursuit of pop super stardom, with Vince helping and supporting her every step of the way. In Tamar’s world, anything can happen, but Vince is always there to be the voice of reason, and bring her back down to earth. Viewers will get an inside look at their complicated yet devoted relationship, including how their upscale lifestyle must adjust as Vince recovers from a recent life-threatening health scare.
Tamar & Vince is being produced for WE tv by Magical Elves. Annabelle McDonald serves as the executive producer for the network.

I would watch it. I think Tamar is awesome, pretty, funny as hell and enjoys the spotlight moreso than her sisters. Don’t know about Vince though. He works so hard and this might be too much stress for him.

I agree Jaime. It was also kind of boring to watch just Tamar and Vincent. Not to mention they look so odd together on top of everything else. Everytime you see her and him she is talking business. It just makes me wonder….
Love her but she would be too much of a good thing on a show with just her and Vince. Besides I wouldn’t want her and Vince to divorce and lord it seems like that would be a fast track to splitsville. I like all of the sisters….with the exception of Toni. Which is strange to me since I’ve always kind of enjoyed her. I must say I did like the episode where she was being so patient with Tracy reacclimating herself to live performances, that was sweet. Oh and their Mother could really give some of these so-called celebrity mothers a class on etiquette and how a grown woman should conduct herself…i.e. Frankie, ugh!

Tamar talks too much about nothing, to the point where her own husband has to excuse himself from the table to regroup. There friends looked very uncomfortable and the japanese woman looked confused the whole time.

I like Tamar but she is very much over the top. Toni, I think is jealous of her and of the sucess that the show has brought to Tamar. She must understand that a person cant always be the limelight or the center of attention. It is Tamar time to shine, Toni you have had yours. Also, being that I work for the bankruptcy court system I do not understand how she can file for chapeter 7 protection and constantly spending money, she surely had better hope that the system does not come back on her with that….But, I love watching the show. The mother she needs to act her age sometimes and not her shoe size.

Tamar deserves her own show no doubt but it needs to follow the official release of her album or something. We need to see her life as she evolves into an artist who stands on her own versus just Vince’s wife and Toni’s younger sister.

I would definitely not watch. Tamar seems to be always auditioning for a chitlin circuit play…she seems to always act over the top to get some sort of attention. And I agree with Riann, they really do not seem to be in love whatsoever. I think she is with him for his status and he is with her just to have some arm candy. It is a shame that the arm candy looks like a platypus with a wig!! I wonder what she would look like w/o the wig?
I always ff any section of the show that has Tamar, this doesn’t leave much of the show left to watch…I am glad she is having her own show because now I can enjoy the rest of the Braxtons without the headache.com.

Toni is not jealous of Tamar…She is PISSEd that Vince who is one of the producers have manipulated the show to make it a ‘Tamar Show’. There is nothing appealing or attractive about Tamar’s dramatics. Toni is the only reason there is a show.

I agree with you Evelyn is a very classy woman, her drama queen daughter Tamar should step back and look at her mother and start acting like she has some sense. Toni Braxton also has taken after her mother. I would not watch this show if it were not featuring their mother and Toni Braxton.
