The two events could have very well been evidence a pending financial catastrophe but Tionne managed to save her home…. that time.
The crazy sexy cool songstress, who has managed to overcome severe health issues, spoke about her brain tumor on CNN last month (click HERE if you missed that), but while her health has improved, her financial status has not.
It’s being reported that Watkins has unfortunately fallen on hard times and recently filed for bankruptcy protection from her creditors!

According to TMZ:
T-Boz ain’t too proud to beg — just like TLC sang back in the 90s — because she’s filed for bankruptcy.
According to docs filed last month in U.S. Bankruptcy Court, T-Boz (real name Tionne Watkins) found herself owing creditors $768,642.99 — mostly from mortgages on her $1.2 million house.
The docs don’t paint a picture of exorbitant spending — she takes in $11,700/month in income, with monthly expenses totaling $8,821.
TLC had ten top ten singles, four number one singles, four multi-platinum albums, and four Grammy Awards … but according to the docs, T-Boz only pulls in $1,200/month in royalties.
T-Boz might have dodged the bankruptcy bullet if she’d been able to collect the child support she claims she’s owed — which according to the docs is $250,000.
Calls to her attorney were not returned.
So Mack 10 owes over $250G’s in child support? Good luck with that.
It’s sad to see so many of our musical icons facing such severe financial hardships. If you recall, Toni Braxton was in the same financial boat a few years back, but after 2 seasons of that Braxtons Family Values reality show, she seems to be recovering.
…and we all know T-Boz’s TLC bandmate Rozonda “Chilli” Thomas pocketed a pretty penny after agreeing to get love advice on video from that chick who didn’t have a clue… or man.
But I digress.
T-Boz waiting on a Mack 10 child support check to save the day is kinda like RHOA’s Sheree Whitfield building “Chateau Sheree”. I just don’t see it happening.

I think she’ll be ok. She should try to recoup that child support, though. I can’t believe how hard it is to get the non-custodial parent to pay. But, bankruptcy isn’t the worst thing in the world. Better now than later.
When they were younger they signed a contract with Laface records that was bulls**t. They only got 15 cents for each record. In the begining they didn’t know the business but now she should have gotten wiser

I don’t even see how she got that far in dept. Most of us regular working class can’t even get a break if we 3 months behind on a car or house payment. Reposession and forclosure would have happened a long time ago. I agree, I understnad that she has had medical issues. But at the same time you have to adjust your spending habits according ly. You can’t have champagne tastes with beer pockets, IJS. And yes, if it pays the bills, she should jump on the reality show band wagon. There are still ways of doing it in good taste.

As a woman whose had my own share of health issues… I know this money thing doesn’t help. Maybe she’s living beyond her means, but she’s sick a lot and I believe she’s doing the best she can. I hope things come together for her, she has a kid and that’s priority #1.

When all else fails…….go REALITY! This seems to have helped Toni Braxton, Fantasia, Chili and more. You can always tell when a celebrity is going broke, irrelevant or just plain broke because they all seem to turn to putting their life on blast! Kinda sad, however true!
No she shouldn’t sell her sole to reality tv. I read somewhere (meaning I didn’t read this article, just wanted to comment) that her monthly income is a little over $11,000, but her monthly expenses are a little under $9,000. She hasn’t been super rich in a long time, and even though she is/was apart of the only girl group I’ve ever liked she needs to learn how to live within her means. $11,000 a month is more than enough for me to survive. There are plenty of affordable homes in great neighborhoods in the Atlanta area. Plus if I was rich I wouldn’t rent a f’ING house or car those would be the two main things I own….guess she didst learn her lesson the first time around. Smh, the lives of the “rich and famous”

A lot of y’all are saying she can always go for reality TV. Well, guess what? SHE HAS! A couple of years ago, she was a contestant on Donald Trump’s ‘Celebrity Apprentice’. She didn’t last long on the show; she got fired (along with Khloe Kardashian) on I think the 6th episode. Donald said he liked her & wasn’t the celeb he intended to fire, but she did something that he didn’t appreciate & that’s why he fired her.
