Don’t do drugs boys and girls and if you do decide to participate in recreational stimulants, please make sure they’re prescribed by a doctor.

That’s just one of the many knowledgeable facts that Lil Wayne dishes in his recent 30 minute public service announcement.

Weezy says it angers him how people are doing things like drinking syrup (promethazine mixed with codine) just to be cool.  He also notes that he stopped drinking it but started again recently because of his problems sleeping in the midst of producing so much work.

He also acknowledges the death death of Apple co-founder Steve Jobs, and states that the creative visionary was taken from the world much too soon.

“I don’t know a person who hasn’t been influenced in some way by this man.”

There are so many key moments in the video, and one that struck me in particular was Wayne’s frustration in young people today who mimic his style by covering themselves in tattoos.  Wayne asks the youth of today to consider WHY they do the things they do?
