Lil Wayne’s Zebra leopard print jeggings (Jeans + Legging) have been a hot topic since they made an appearance on the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards stage.
My first thought was that those pants looked awfully familiar, almost like the kind Weezy’s 12 year old daughter Reginae (aka LaQuisha from Bunker Hill) would wear.
[Sidebar: Her nanny really told me to tweet her that… 😆 ]
Welp… it’s now been revealed that Wayne’s pants WERE actually a pair of women’s jeggings!!!
Complex Magazine did a lil bit of fashion research and confirmed what we already knew to be true….
You all saw what Weezy wore at the VMAs, right? LET’S TALK ABOUT THOSE PANTS. The leopard print jeans were so crazy (and so tight) that it has everyone talking. Not because they’re stylish, but because they’re AWESOMELY HORRIBLE. There’s even a Lil Wayne Jeggings Twitter.
Well, we found out what he was wearing and they are WOMEN’S JEGGINGS! WOMEN’S. JEGGINGS. The brand loved by punk rockers everywhere, Tripp NYC, has confirmed on their Facebook page that the YMCMB rapper was indeed wearing their pants. You can buy them here for $44. Just make sure to get a very very large size so that you can sag in those tight ass jeans, just like Wayne.
Don’t blame us if people laugh at you.
Lil Wayne may wear jeggings but at least they aren’t JHORTS!
But I digress…
In other news, Wayne’s ninth studio album Tha Carter IV just hit the shelves Monday (August 29, 2011) and sales of the album are hot like fire!
Cash Money Records CEO Bryan “Birdman” Williams has a goal of 1 Million copies sold this week, despite the early leak.
Cash Money delivered Carter IV to Universal about 10 days in advance, which Williams says was necessary to press the two million units being shipped in its first week. “The goal is to sell a million-plus copies,” he explains.
Although that’s likely what led to Carter IV breaking free, Williams says he’s actually OK with leaks, to a point. “I can deal with it for short period of time,” he says. It’s when you have a leak out for a long time that it’s crazy.” (source)
The moral of this story? A real peen in women’s jeans is hotter than a fake one…
What do you think about Wayne’s girly pants? Were they a fashion NO or a Fashion GO?
