Centino Kemp, the 5th accuser in the Bishop Eddie Long Sex Scandal, was feeling ‘some kinda way’ last night and felt the need to send out a public message to his alleged abuser.
Two other Long accusers, Jamal Parris & Spencer LaGrande, appeared on local news last week, prompting the “Bishop” to address his New Birth Congregation.
It now appears Centino is seeking a response from Long as well…
But wait… there’s more!
And the moral of this story is…. throwing money at a problem (or 5 “problems” in this case), will not make it go away.
It’s sad that these young men have to continue struggling with these issues, while being front & center in the media. Some feel that they are only speaking now because they’ve blown through their settlement, but it’s clear (at least to me) that money is NOT the issue here.
They want justice…. and unfortunately for Long, it’s not coming in the form of a check!

Exactly gagirl. They weren’t such "the victim" when they were flauting their lil sissy a$$es around on tv trying to make an album; or flaunting that new BMW. These dudes need to go seek counseling (if they are indeed traumatized) and go sit down somewhere! They are starting to look just as, if not more, guilty then Eddie Long Stroke!!
All of these men clearly knew what they were doing even at the ages they met Eddie Long. I have absolutely "NO SYMPATHY FOR ANY OF THESE MONEY HUNGRY MAN LOVING MEN" because they’re not victims, they were willing participants in the game of "SEX FOR MONEY & MATERIAL THINGS" from the beginning.
If these men were so abused, why in hell didn’t they report Eddie Long from the time he began "ALLEGEDLY" having sexual communication with them, or from the first time he "ALLEGEDLY" put his hands on any of them sexually?
Their ages at that time had nothing to do with it, and people can say they "WERE YOUNG" all you want, but as far as i’m concerned their ages are irrelevant to me, because if Eddie Long was doing things to any of these men inappropriately they should have reported him to their parents first, then to the police in Dekalb County.
I also must add that if any man sexually abused me in any way, I would have "NEVER ENTERED INTO MEDIATION WITH HIM" I would have also "NEVER ACCEPTED ANY MONEY FROM HIM" regardless of how wealthy he may have been because I would have wanted the world to know what he had done to me, and that his money was not going to shut me up.
You don’t enter into mediation, nor do you take money from a man who has sexually assaulted or abused you. You expose them and make the world aware of them in every way possible.
I’m with you james, i don’t have any sympathy for these "men" either. It’s really all about attention & the all mighty dollar. Sit yo azz down & talk to a counselor or somethin’. I’m not sayin’ they should forget whatever happened, but I’m starting to believe some of them thought they would actually be in a real relationship w/this man. They should’ve reported it a long time ago…i guess that settlement money is runnin’ kind of thin now.
I agree that these men have probably blown their settlement money,and Centino Kemp is probably angry that his cash flo has been cut off even though he appears to enjoy his gayness,especially after releasing pics. But I do NOT agree that social media is not the place to address their grievances. It’s EXACTLY the place. How would we know that Eddie Long was doing this had it not been for the media? At least now more parents and young men will KNOW the danger of being alone with this monster. And YES he’s a monster for that fact that he’s a married man who has gay relationship with young boys and men and stands at the head of God’s church taking God’s tithes to lure these youths AND pay his legal debts for abusing them. I don’t think anyone is innocent… Not Eddie long and not his accusers…. They were living the life cars, trips, money and soon as all of it was snatched from them that’s when they say… Oh well he molested me. These young men are obviously disturbed. MOST black people don’t turn in abusers even when they have the chance. WE HIDE IT. So what they took the money and trips. They were enthralled by a powerful man and thirsty to be "special".
However, they failed to realize that with the settlement they were supposed to seek counseling. The feelings are not going to go away, they will take some maintenance to at least get to the point that they don’t feel "dirty" anymore. As a matter of fact, whatever settlement they got, just might cover all of the therapy they will need to be whole again.

Stella I agree.. I’m sure it was hard for these boys to sit in the room with Eddie (who doesn’t deserve to be called a Bishop) while I’m sure he failed to acknowledge them or apologize. These boys thought they had something special with him and he is using his muscle and the powerful engine behind him to protect himself. These boys don’t have an army of 25,000 behind them like Eddie does. These boys probably don’t have the same support system behind them as Eddie does.
Check this: I someone accused me of something that I know I didn’t do, I would do what’s necessary to clear my name, not settle behind closed doors. If Eddie didn’t do it, why pay up. I wouldn’t pay for something I was accused of stealing, if I didn’t steal it.

Let’s get real: they’ve blown the money and are attention seekers. If they truly wanted healing, they wouldn’t be trying to get it from their molestor or the public. The settlement money should have been used to rebuild their lives and that includes professional counseling. And if it’s unclear to his followers, Eddie Long likes sleeping with men, he’s a homosexual. God is making that really plain. He could easily deny these claims with supporting facts, if they were untrue. I know that if I was accused unfairly of these claim I would publicly deny it and present the facts. And I could easily defend myself, because I don’t take strangers kids on trips and I don’t sleep in the bed with adolescents and I don’t lie about my sexuality.
one more thing… I pray these young boys find some healing and will power to continue to live and know that this shall pass. I would tell them to pray, but one can only question their level of faith in God as they were violated by a man of God.

These young men and I did say men, need to start acting like men. If they don’t shut-up, they are going to end up in jail for comtempt. You can’t sign a legal confidential agreement and then decided not to follow it. These boys could end up in jail and not because of Eddie Long because they had dollar signs in their eyes and signed something and now they want to take it back. The legal system doesn’t work like that. I hope they realize that the judge could have them arrested at any time. They took the money, so go get you some help and some education to learn how to handle the money.

For the first four men (especially Jamal Parris), the pain of not having a father in their lives was the first strike. Speaking from personal experience, when a BOY grows up without a father (the MAN he is supposed to look up to and admire), there is a sense of great loss. There is anger, confusion, grief, and self-blame, but it usually remains an internal issue and if left unchecked, it grows as the years go by. When Bishop Eddie Long came in their lives and said, "I’ll be the father you’ve always wanted. I’ll be there for you." It opened them up in ways that they never opened up before. Sadly, the Bishop used this to basically pimp them out… Strike #2. The third and final strike was when the reality of this situation finally sunk in for the four: "I grew up without my dad. I was abandoned by him. Here came this man who claimed he was going to be my father, and look how he treated me. He treated me like a whore and he never said ‘I’m sorry.’
I thought he truly loved me. I thought that was love. I feel cheated, used up, washed up and betrayed. I’m damaged good." Without God, MAJOR therapy, and forgiveness, the combination of their vulnerability and their pain will swallow them up.

As I read, I am beginning to wonder, who seduced whom. These boys look like they are suffering for "Good Old Fashion Greed". I wish that I could have reaped such financial benefits from my youthful escapades. What I don’t understand is why they went the civil (money) route instead of filing a criminal case against Bishop Long. You can’t have your cake and eat it too. Get some help. The Love of Money is the root of all evil. Two rocks down and three to go. Just a matter of time.
They probably didn’t go the criminal route, because these victims were of consenting age. There are laws against folks like priests or cops abusing their relationship with folks who come to them in need. Nonetheless, I don’t think criminal actions were pursued by the DA due to their age. Also, I doubt the victims tried to push for criminal charges, because they did want a cash settlement. An imprisoned Eddie Long can’t hustle up the money. Most things are never black and white.
