What started out as a night on the town in NYC ended with Keri Hilson apologizing for an insensitive act.
The “Pretty Girl Rock” singer hit the tweets late last night and callously sent out the following tweet referencing fallen singer Amy Winehouse:

It didn’t take long for fans to take aim at Keri’s insensitivity… and you can best believe, they WENT IN!
No… the photo wasn’t funny AT ALL and Keri is old enough to know better.
She can probably blame it on the alcohol, but whatever the case, Keri sobered up quick when she began to see the backlash.
It wasn’t long before Keri issued a few apologetic tweets…
Considering the fact Amy Winehouse’s body is barely in the ground, Keri’s “apologies” fell on deaf ears.
Fans and media outlets alike have all blasted Keri for her dimwitted actions, so she released another apology this morning…
It’s blatantly evident that Keri’s “joke” about a life lost was way too soon… and these days she needs all the positive press she can get. This lil episode definitely doesn’t boost Keri’s already dipping popularity factor.

I think people get a little too sensitive about certain things. Did the girl pictured with her get the verbal beat down for dressing like Amy Winehouse? Surely not. I am pretty sure she didn’t mean anything by it …

Personally…I didn’t see nothing wrong with the tweet. At the end of the day, Amy Winehouse lived a destructive life. I am sorry that her life ended that way, but that was they path that she went. It is not like she died tragically. I will bet a dollar to a doughnut that the officially autopsy will say that she OD’d on some stuff. Her death is sad, but not surprisin

I look forward to the day when celebs will once again give us their talent and not their scandals, idiotic rants, ridiculous opinions, bedroom escapades, family drama and ‘foot in the mouth’ media captured antics. But until then it’s just a picture and some words people. Let it go. People die everyday. If you are offended grow thicker skin. Amy don’t need you sticking up for her now. She resting in peace.
people need to get over there’s plenty of people saying things about people dead or alive comedians talk about dead people all the time and did anybody say anything about Eminem when he rapped about Sony Bono crashing into tree or Christopher Reeves there was nothing funny about that but he did it and though Keri Tweet wasn’t funny she’s not the first or last to do something stupid so people to be just as ignorant by calling hoes and ugly and just stupid stuff makes them no better everybody needs to just grow up and get there minds and hearts right because there in the wrong places

Whoa Miss Keri Baby….. You need to go and sit with some veteran entertainers and learn your place in the entertainment world. You are not qualified to make statements like that being the baby that you are in this business. You should be thinking of a serious way to send an appropriate apology to Amy’s family and fans. Slow down youngster, you got a ways to go yet before you speak on Anybody..
Not a big deal, some people have no lives or backbones. There will always be worse thing said and done. And the girl did look like Amy, atleast that much is true.
Keri is forever sticking her feet in her mouth.I can recall her saying stuff about other celebrities but when called on it,she always play dumb and give fake apologies.Keri seems bitter.
If Keri would have waited atleast 6 months from now and stated something like "I ran into a big fan of Amy Winehouse and I just love how the fan tributes her image", that would have been in better taste and it wouldn’t have seemed malicious and insensitive.
For those who are making excuses for the almost 30 year old Keri Hilson( maybe she is already),you miss the fact that Amy just died last week and to say that "a person who’d just died resurrected to party with her is not even cool"…..
It’s funny how everyone want to jump on Keri, at lease Keri say what no one had the nervous to say. Amy did to herself, everyone has are had some on drugs i.n their family and try to help get off, I’m pretty sure everyone who went see Amy in concert talked about the way she looked and the way she sound. Who I feel for Amy mother she lost a daughter to DRUGS.
People are not just jumping on Keri for the hell of it.Keri has a history of making double talk statements and she is old enough to know better so some of you need to stop making excuses for her.
I think it’s clear that Amy probably lost her life based on drug usage but that doesn’t have a thing to do with how insensitive Keri was in reference to her.
