I have been in conflict with my spirit trying to justify Creflo’s defence of Eddie Long, with no consideration to the victims. Now Creflo has offended people in the church, Eddie Longs and others, by the defiant and accusing tone degrading people who are wounded sheep, looking for help because their shepherd went astray! Everyone affected by this needs help and prayer, not condemnation. Raising the possible abuser up to members as if he were a victim is denial and accountability and confession is needed to become healthy again.
Lift up the fallen, if at all possible, and help restore them, but the innocent need this as well who have been affected by unexpected stumbling blocks put in their lives and church.

Long is well respected and has more than 25,000 members that trusted him to WALK AND TALK truth, and maybe it doesn’t require that, but it at least requires that you "PRACTICE WHAT YOU PREACH." I agree with Dr. Dollar that all have sinned and fallen short of the grace, but God holds those that He has chosen to a higher standard. Long was standing up in feont of a congregation condemning a certain work and practicing that condemnation himself all the while. Yes, forgive him, but remove him. Some wrecks are not worth sticking around for. Some wrecks are accidents, but others such as a drunk driving wreck are preventable.
What are you really teaching God’s babies (age not a factor) when you do not practice what you preach. There are those deserving, who were truly called by the Lord to represent here on earth, and I don not believe Long is one of those who were called. If Dt. Dollar is shouting so loud on Longs behalf, then of course some folks are going to start holding him suspect also. If Long was truly called to service by the Lord, he would have trusted in God to support him just as the Lord supported David against Goliath. How can you teach a congregation that God conquers all and then turn tail and run from a situation yourself. Now where was this man of the cloths trust and belief in God.

Let God be God! Eddie Long has to answer for Eddie Long on Judgement Day! Whatever he has done or is doing, he will have to answer for.
This is not much different from the priests with the alter boys, and the Jim Jones massacre. Long got these young boys to believe in his teaching and then he devoured them. No, they were not little children in the eyes of the world, but they were babies in their trust and understanding. I do not like to think of myself as some one who judges anyone negatively, but when I tried to watch Long on television long before this scandal broke, there was just something about him that made me feel sick.
As for Dr. Dollar and any other pastor who thinks it is there right to turn worshippers away from the house of God, they are out of line. Regardless of how Dr. Dollar, tries to hammer in his tithing doctrine, it is the members of the church who keep it functional. Dr. Dollar knows the word very well, so he is not a stranger to the passage about "wolves in sheep’s clothing." Who can the people and the children trust, where do they turn, what now can they believe…when the sanctuary turns into a place where raptist, sexual predators, and deviant persons of ill repute, are held in high esteem. Dr. Dollar, when I was growing up, my parents used to say "birds of a feather flock together" I found that phrase to hold a lot of truth.
Long, and no other predator can be allowed to lead or call themselves representatives of our Lord. They must be removed and sent back into the pews to learn from real men of the cloth, and there are some representing in noble standing.
As a brother who knows Christ and who has been delivered and is continuing to be delivered, I find this message SAD! God does forgive and he has forgiven me for many many of my sins. However, just because I am saved does not give me a liscense to mistreat, steal, and rape others and then rest on my past good deeds to "pay off" my new sins. Eddie Long was wrong! He needs to accept that he was wrong. We should not be decieved, Eddie Long is NOT the victim…he is the perpetrator. Should we forgive? Creflo’s vid was pulled but I read what he supposedly stated. It’s one thing to turn those people away and it’s another to compare a wreck that has mislead your church to a car wreck. With Sherri’s clip, I see mostly where she’s coming from but Michael Jackson settled his case. I didn’t agree with it but if you look at only a handful of facts you can understand that he didn’t harm those kids. I’ll leave the fact that the kid later said that he was lying on the backburner. In various states, Texas and Cali are two of them I believe, the state will proceed to try you in abuse cases. Good example is when Warren Moon’s daughter called 911 after he had a fight with his wife. His wife wouldn’t press charges but the state continued with it. Same went for Left Eye and Andre Rison. Wow, shame on me! I left a mega church after feeling sick and empty on what I saw going on. I didn’t speak against the church, some people were very happy worshiping the pastor and living pay check to pay check while he drives a Bentley. I just found a smaller more spirit (and not tithe) based church. However; for some reason I separated Creflo from the pack of "pimp preachers," but now my eyes are open! What’s sad is some of these men have great gifts to lead justly!
Never like neither one of those preachers, now I know why. What a shame.
I feel confident that Creflo Dollar is not sugarcoating Mr Long’s sin. He’s forgiving. That is God’s command. If some need to leave the church though, I feel they must do what is in their heart. We are all at differing places in our emotional and spiritual growth. If you loose respect for the Pastor and God allows you to leave, so be it. My Pastor and his wife separated and I stayed with the church. I refused to talk or listen to gossip. I covered them with prayer. A third of the members left. Why? Because they weren’t mature enough to keep their mouths shut and pray for their Pastor. So Mr Long’s sin is HUGE. It’s very BIG for a Pastor, that young boys trusted. BUT, God has forgiven him. We need to also. It’s God’s command. If you can’t do it, you’re in sin. However, if you need to leave, seek God. God may release you from such a Pastor. But believe me, Mr Long has suffered more inside than anything you could ever do to him. So see yourself needing the same kind of mercy. One day you will need mercy, if you haven’t already. Have compassion for his position, knowing it’s a huge error and has brought much horror to the boys he abused, their families, the church, everyone. But He’s a man of God and that means He would be miserable in that sin until he’s repented. Therefore, God will forgive and He expects us to also. Forgiveness doesn’t mean we deny the terrible wrong done. But we must get beyond judgment because judgment is for God alone. Some sins are much greater than others, but any one sin will keep anyone from Heaven. So don’t let your sin of judging or unforgiveness keep you out.

Eddie Long has been forgiven by God as long as he has repented and it’s covered under the blood and God will never remember His sin again; and as long as he pushes to become more like Jesus until he dies he will go to heaven. Many people are acting like Jonah! Jonah didn’t want to go to Nineveh because he knew God was a merciful God and that He was going to give Nineveh the opportunity to repent so He could forgive them and not have to punish them.
