Last night twitter was abuzz with activity after NBA Hall of Famer an former Atlanta Hawk Dominque Wilkins was allegedly attacked after last night’s Hawks game.

But I digress…
NBA.com’s Sekou Smith sent the following series of tweets last night alerting all to the altercation, stating Wilkins got in three “solid” punches during the brief fight, while his assailant landed none.
Well I dunno what Nique’ looks like this morning but his “attacker” looks like he got a severe beat down!!

According to the AJC, Wilkins’ “attacker” said Wilkins owed him money.
Atlanta police arrested Rashan S. Michel, 36, and charged him with with one count of simple battery following the incident.
Michel, explained to police that he was pissed because Dominique owed him money for suits purchased several years ago.
The story may have some validity since Michel, of Atlanta, has worked as an NBA and college basketball referee and previously owned his own clothing store.
According to reports, Michel argued with Wilkins and hit him in the chest. He also hit a security guard before getting promptly beat down.
[Seriously... who would try to beat up an NBA legend at a dayum basketball game? Where dey do that at?]
In a statement issued to the AJC, Hawks spokesman Arthur Triche referred to Michel as a “fan” but did not reveal details about the incident.
The fan was promptly arrested and was taken into custody by the Atlanta Police Department.
At this time the Hawks have no additional information or comment regarding this situation.
Wilkins was not injured in the incident, which occurred as he mingled with fans after the game.
Dominique, 51, serves as the Hawks’ vice president and as a television analyst. He played for the Hawks from 1982 until 1994.
No word yet from Wilkins camp about the altercation but one thing’s for sure… Dominique’ has a mean right hook!
