A lot of people I know praise Craigslist for the ease of selling and buying used electronics, furniture or swapping just about anything you can think of.
But for every story of success there’s a horror story.
That being said, meet 25-year-old Cobb County resident, Darrell Delane Cash.
Mugshot and details below:
According to the AJC, Cash is accused of committing the crimes at Caswyck Trail Apartment complex, located in Marietta, beginning in November of last year.
The female victims were apparently advertising on the Craigslist site and a similar classifieds site, backpage.com.
After contacting the women, Cash would then meet the victim at an unoccupied house or apartment, rob and sexually assault them at gunpoint. One woman told police she was forced to give the suspect hundreds of dollars.
Cash has been charged with two counts of rape, two counts of armed robbery, two counts of burglary and one count of kidnapping.
He was arrested last week and booked into the Cobb County jail, where he remained Tuesday night without bond.
Cash also faces a felony drug charge after authorities found nine grams of marijuana, in nine plastic bags, in his bedroom during a search.
Cash, a Chicago native, has had numerous arrests in his home state, according to the Illinois Department of Corrections.
