Actress Vivica Fox was the featured keynote speaker at the 2011 Freshman Convocation at Fort Valley State University Wednesday, January 26, 2011.
As the 1st year college students move on to the next level, Vivica shared her secrets to success and provided a bit of inspiration to the group.
I have absolutely no idea what Vivica said in her speech (and no one got video), but I’m sure the self-professed “cougar” managed to inspire all those talented young men…

@darien hamilton… exactly my point… they have more resources for whatever reason than when you and I went there… now aint that some bull? i remember when up foxy brown was supposed to perform at the FVSU homecomeing and she didn’t even show up until damn 12 midnight … smh. and she got 20,000 and forgot her own lyrics… FVSU has always been a mess and messy with the business of preparing their students for success.. these kids that go there now are lucky because the government stepped in and stopped them hustling azz teachers from stealing all the financial aid money like they were doing when you and I were going there. How you gonna get audited twice Fort Valley? Then how you employee people in the book store that are stealing from the students bookstore money? i mean i can go on and on and on.. How yo gonna employee a student for work study whose damn parents are department heads at the daggone school? she don’t need no work study!!!smh but best believe VIVICA FOX didn’t come down there for free…please believe….

I also graduated from FVSU. Dr. Rivers (the NEW president) is actually turning that university around. It’ll take YEEEEARS to repair the image, but he’s definately moving in the correct direction.
