R&B singer Monica is officially a basketball wife! Mo and her boo, Lakers star Shannon Brown tied the knot and have managed to keep it all hush hush for months!
Rumors began circulating way before Christmas that Mo was married and I’d heard that the party in L.A. was actually their reception. Only a few of Mo’s closest friends and family knew about the marriage and they all graciously managed to keep it out of the media.
Well now… the word is out. It’s official! Mo & Shannon tied the knot!
The rumors are true: Monica and Shannon Brown are indeed married. An official with the NBA also confirmed the marriage, which took place in Los Angeles on November 22, 2010.
A friend of Shannon Brown’s says he is relieved that the news is out because he respects his wife and he has been wearing his wedding band recently.
The friend said Shannon and Monica plan to wed officially in front of family and friends (again) in Los Angeles in June. (Source)
Word is… Mo has already changed her last name to “Brown.”
As you recall, Mo met Shannon on the set of the video for “Love All Over Me,” where she and Shannon ended up walking down the aisle. The two have been inseparable every since. Talk about a self-fulfilling prophecy!

Maybe knowing her good friend Monicas secret KC started putting old booby in a choke hold… Anyway I’m SO *ucking happy for Monica. She’s a wise woman that’s been through alot.
