Naomi Campbell was out shopping in Miami on Wednesday when she was caught by TMZ‘s paparazzi. With her weave holding on for dear life, the 40-year-old supermodel showed off her Victoria’s secret hairline

It’s not the first time Naomi’s receding hairline has been spotted and I’m sure she could care less what y’all think… after all she’s still a supermodel!

Dr’s have often warned of hair loss from the long term wear of lacefront wigs, extensions and weaves.  Some cases result in a condition called “traction alopecia,” a form of gradual hair loss, caused primarily by pulling force being applied to the hair

Though its common amongst women of all ages who wear extensions, African-American women suffer most because we are the the ones who use these options most often.

I personally decided to give up perm 4 years ago and went natural but I do opt to rock my sew-in weave now just because it’s so dang convenient.  The lacefront phenomenon is beyond me, because only Beyonce can pull that off without a hitch… and that hairline glue? ewwwww.

Over time, improper lace applications and long-term weaves can make a hairline totally disappear. That’s why it’s important that we continue to educate ourselves on hair care and maintenance.
