I missed Chelsea Handler’s rant the other day about The Real Housewives of Atlanta and just now caught in online.
On the last episode of RHOA, Attorney Phaedra Parks is preparing to give birth and has a friend giving her advice and assisting her through about the process.
Most first time mothers need a bit of guidance in the beginning and Phaedra adds a little humor to the situation by pretending to know absolutely nothing.
Handler, who is known to be a bit risque, chose to roast Parks about the situation and used her best “Black Girl” neck rolling, finger snapping attitude to make her point.
“Hey, moron!,” says Chelsea. “You’re not giving birth to a Cabbage Patch kid!”
Chelsea also notes that Phaedra is an attorney who is married to an ex-con and proclaims, “Sounds to me like she’s living the African American dream!”

Chelsea also used the opportunity to revisit the rumor that she and 50 cent were kicking it, with the comment,
“You don’t put 50 cent on your navel you put 50 cent inside you…. that way you guarantee yourself a beautiful tatted up chocolate baby”.
I used to be a Chelsea Handler fan. Now? Not so much…

Don imus got kicked off the radio for calling us nappy-headed h’s. This trick needs to be called on the carpet. Also, I really wish they would take these housewives shows off the air. The buffonry is ridiculous. With the exception of beverly hills, none of these women have any money.

She was funny until she got to "living the real American dream" line. That was really racist. I don’t appreciate that at all.
A writer for the show may have wrote that joke, but she said it, and has to take responsibility. And I know comedians think nothing is off limit, but this was too far on national television.

Phaedra herself speaks condescendingly about white people referencing Apollo’s upbringing — once on the series and once on last nights Watch What Happens Live. I dont’ see anybody nailing her about that.

I think she was trying to be funny, but she was just showing how racist you can be when your white, and trying to be funny. The statement about the African American Dream was to much. Can some one please band her from being on TV, Radio, the meida period anymore.
