Toni Braxton attended the 8th Annual Lupus L.A. Hollywood Bag Ladies Luncheon at the Beverly Wilshire hotel in Beverly Hills on Tuesday (Nov. 16).
The brave songstress, with her mother (right) and sisters by her side, revealed during the luncheon that she’s been struggling with lupus, an autoimmune disease.
“Today I’m going to talk about it because I’m a survivor and I’m here, and I don’t want to lose hope. Take a look — this is what lupus looks like,” Braxton said.
As you know, it hasn’t been an easy year for the Grammy-winning songstress, who recently filed for bankruptcy for a second time. But Toni seems to have held it together despite the hardships.
After the event Toni tweeted that she was relieved to finally share her secret:
