Clifford “T.I.” Harris appeared on an Atlanta radio show yesterday to discuss his recent jail sentence and how he feels that people have condemned him for making mistakes. As always, Tip spews a few notable quotables:
“All the things that have gone wrong with me pale in comparison to all the things that could have gone wrong with me.” ~ Tip
T.I. also reunited with “Joshua,” the suicidal young man he talked down from the roof last week.
In case you missed it, check out video of Tip’s interview & his reunion with the man whose life he saved below:

I don’t think folks have thrown him away. It’s just he looks less than smart right now. In addition, I wonder if he (TIP) knows that he no longer resides in the “hood” your wealthy an because of this you TIP have more options than my cousin who’s locked down in PBSP or his son (statistically) speaking thAt is so why continue to act as if this isn’t true.
You raise money for Alzheimers but are addicted to “E” which could have you experiencing early onset signs of the disease in your 40′s. Why?? On the show u didn’t want to reflect on the incidents surrounding your arrest yet you continue to try to make the public relive incidents in your youth repeatedly through your music and verbal testimony. It’s just contradiction / confusion which you know God is not in.
Clifford, Clifford. Your cocky self-righteous attitude is your worst enemy.
Most folks, including me, want to see you rise and shine. If not, you would not be rich or even given so many opportunities to build wealth from being Rapper.
Think about it. You are not finding a cure for cancer. You are not teaching future leaders of tomorrow. You are just making us shake our azz for a few minutes out of the day.
The problem is that we have done a poor job of elevating bullshit over substance. Wealth over character.
You said in your new song that the road to redemption doesn’t have a GPS. Blank stare. Try the GPS called common sense, the terms of probation and Holy Scripture.
I will continue to pray for you and support you. You are still my favorite country Rapper.
@ Attorney Mom, "Wow", you really have a valid point!
I so adore Ruth. I personally adore Clifford and want to see him shine as I said before we all make choices and this is the outcome for that poor choice that night. Personal is personal had it been done at home this would not be an issue. Best of luck to them in overcoming this problem and I pray for their kids who are going to miss him while he’s gone.
@ATTORNEYMOM you are so on point!
Tip was so arrogant in that interview. He needs to remember that WE DON"T HAVE TO SUPPORT HIM but we do. When you do stupid shit you need to be condemned and not praised. We root for him when he’s doing good because he just did bad yesterday and we want him to succeed.
But when you do things that are just plain IGNORANT there’s consequences and some of them consist of your fans dogging you out. Especially because you have shown that (although you are human) you are still going to make the same poor decisions.
Don’t blame everyone else for your stupidity CLIFFORD!
I don’t think that he is making excuses and in the interview and the song he accepted responsiblity for his actions but I know as an industry professional what he is saying is reflective of other industry professionals condemning him and doing far worst and not having the heart to do the good that he continues to do in his community and was doing before the courts ordered him to. Others have not received the legal punishment regarding the latest situation either Paris Hilton, Lindsey Lohan. Even Robert Downey Jr. was given more chances. TIP, I am proud of you and helping this young man despite the criticism was admirable. You continue to do what others in the community will not do including attorneys, doctors, & other professionals who get there’s a keep stepping. I speak from inside knowledge.
Yes, they keep stepping, I attended a forum with a great deal of Ivy League graduated professionals and a very notable figure was speaking trying to encourage them to give their time, their monies, etc. and to let them know that if we do not rise as a people together our individual accomplishments mean nothing. Those sitting at the table and some around me said I got mine, they have to get there’s by any means necessary. Yet you condemn those individuals when they choose to get there’s by any means necessary and even when they rise from illegal sources to legal. Again, I commend him, he has made many mistakes but he is still doing despite his circumstances and I can support anyone who’s still doing their best. Kudos to you TIP, kudos to you.
Yes, thank you Mr.Clifford Harris for putting on for your city…going up to the the middle schools where our kids are most impressible and telling them not to do or sell drugs as part of your community service. Now T.I., can we just get YOU to walk your talk!!! That is ALL!!!
Tip, you have no one but yourself to blame for what’s going on with you. The public is very opinionated, you knew that when you were riding high on the hog. Now that shizz is catching up to you, "Oh how could the be so cruel" You recieved a plea deal of a life time. Those guns that were found in that truck and in you home could have had you in prison for 10-20 years. But being who you are you got away damn near scott free! Now your talking about don’t be so hard on me. I help the community, people do things just as worse than what I’ve done. Point taken, at the same time "public" "people" have to pay a price that you did not pay! Your still getting out scott free with 11 months for violating probation. Deal with it!! you should have gotten more.
@attorneymom – how were you able to say "bullshit" on here and it didn’t get blanked out? J/A
I didn’t listen to the interview, but I will say this. TI is quite possibly the dumbest criminal next to OJ…OJ gets off for murder but is sentenced to dang near life for stealing his own SHAT!
TI gets off on guns and goes back on a drug charge a few "very few" months later. Who does that? Career criminals and drug abusers.
Red, You better preach!!
You, therefore, who teach another, do you not teach yourself? You who say, "Do not do drugs," do you do drugs?
@Prynsexxx You better preach too!
By the way, as I stated previously he has done more than just go to the middle schools and speak, and he was doing it before this crisis in his life and is still doing even after his situation occurred. Yes, I hope that he is able to be delivered from his habit and as a person that has never used any substance ever in my life, I still say I commend him and his efforts despite his mistakes. The entertainment and many other industries are riddled with individuals committing all kind of crimes and even moral indecencies daily in and out of the public eye but many are so quick to jump on the bandwagon of ridicule when someone’s errors are exemplified. I truly would once again like to commend him for taking the time to do all that he is and has done, it is truly appreciated when others aren’t and won’t do it. No worries, some of us truly understand and thoroughly appreciate you young man, truly!
