Meet Mario Dewar Bennett aka the singer known as Mario (pronounced Mary-o). Mary-o was arrest last night after he got in an altercation with his MOM!!
According to TMZ:
Mario’s mother Shawntia Hardaway — a former heroin addict — told cops the former “Dancing with the Stars” contestant had been “throwing and damaging property” … and pushed her around with his hands and forearms.
Cops say they found several broken items inside the apartment — including a broken china cabinet, a busted mirror and a hole in the closet door.
Mario’s mother also told police the 24-year-old singer had attacked her earlier in the week — in which he pushed her “eight feet into a living room wall, where Ms. Hardaway hit her head on the wall.”
Mary-0 was arrested in Baltimore and charged with 2nd degree assault. (CLICK HERE to read the probable cause statement where Mary-O’s mom referred to him as a mental case). You’ve got to be crazy to beat up your mom right? *shrug*
Mario has since been released on $50,000 bond.

Umm, he looks as if something jumped into his body.Ladies beware of a dude who beats on his momma, because there maybe some underlining causes for this rage.Sad.
Unless you are a child of an addict whether it’s in liquid form or heroin/crack or meth you would never understand the level of fustration one feels.
From what I have read,he mainly messed up his own stuff in the apartment and she allege that he pushed her 8 feet earlier this week,which is an interesting estimate of feet she alleges.
I don’t buy her story.I believe that like any other addict,she tore that house up looking for drugs or money to buy drugs.Addicts are very selfish people and they also lie a lot and simply can’t be trusted.
Mario has tried his best to help his mother but it is time for him to let her go.Maybe this will be the event that will allow him to be strong enough to let her deal or not deal with her issues.Wash your hands of her Mario because it will be the best thing you can do for your own sanity.
I agree with child of an addict. I went through that with my ex husband so *sigh* I’m really skeptical as to her accounts of what happened. I hope for his sanity as well that he decides to love her from a distance. So sad.

@GOOD LUCK MARIO i agree.i cant stand how ppl jump to assumptions when they dont know the full story or what happened.i mean i will never put my hands on my mother ever.push or not.but ppl need to learn to forgive and move on and stop living in the past and worry about the future.we wasnt there so we cant just acuse this person or that person.especially if he didnt see it ourselves.we dont know the whole story.
