In case you haven’t heard, Ne-Yo has a baby on the way. There were rumors that he was engaged to his baby mama to be, Monyetta Shaw (pictured above), but Ne-Yo quickly put those vicious rumors to rest.
In fact, not only did he dispute being engaged, Ne-Yo also squashed any notion that he’s even romantically involved with the future mother of his child:
“I have a friend. Not a girlfriend. She’s carrying my child but knows I can’t commit. She doesn’t mind other women.” (source)
Did Ne-Yo just admits his “situation” is merely an arrangement?
In a separate interview, Ne-Yo, aka Shaffer Chimere Smith, was asked how he felt about becoming a new father. He replies:
“I’m going to have my first child in January. I’m terrified, I’m gonna be all the way honest. I’ve never seen myself as a father, you know what I mean? I knew eventually I would get married and have kids and all of that stuff. By the way, the marriage rumors aren’t true. Let’s clear that up.
I’m not engaged, I’m not to be married. But the baby rumor is true…My mom was my mom and my dad. I didn’t need the male role model. I figure if I do it the way my mom did it, then my kid is going to be fine.”
Funny how he’s forgotten about his namesake, lil baby Chimere. Ne-Yo was a father for several months back in 2008 before all that blood test drama.

Oh well…. Ne-Yo basically wants to let all the boys and girls know that he’s still single and on the prowl! He is NOT ready to settle down and y’all can’t make him. Baby or not!
As further proof of his statement, Ne-Yo was spotted in Miami over the weekend partying like there’s no tomorrow.

Ne-Yo and friends took over Miami this past weekend and partied it up “Champagne Life” style. They hit up spots like Philippe’s and Mr Chow’s for dinner and popped endless bottles at clubs Cameo and Live.
The weekend ended with Ne-Yo and friends aboard a 100 foot yacht while dining on top of the line cuisine made by Ne-Yo’s personal chef. Ahhhh, the good life!!!

This is not cute how he is discussing the mother of his child. I think it is very irresponsible of him to speak of it as being a situation. This is a prime example of the problem amongst black men. At least Usher did married Tameka to make having a baby more then a situation, he tried to create a union for his child even if the world was against it . (it just didn’t work out) but U have to respect his effort. This is a turn off for me, I thought he had more class then this. Even if he is not ready for marriage (understandable), he could at least discuss the relationship in more delightful terms.
I hate when blk men just "make babies" and then wonder why HIV and AIDS are killing off our community. If he wanted to "prove" something by making a baby, he had other options like……..not wearing skinny jeans and so much lip gloss. Start there. But noooo he wants to go bring a child into this corrupt world. Now he’s going to be payin out his extra wide turd hole in child support and wondering WHY he can’t get ahead in life! Ugh!

He’s just busting in this chick and making babies to try and prove to the world he’s straight. All he’s done is make himself appear more gay because he is not married to this woman nor lives with her and is rarely seen with her at public events. Plus he is does not appear to be raising his kids since career apparently comes before anything else.
