Former TV star Maia Campbell, daughter of late novelist Bebe Moore Campbell and former co-star of the series “In The House” has surfaced in a second online viral video in which she appears incoherent and out of control.
It’s really sad to see someone who was that beautiful and had so much going for them fall so far.
Last September, Maia became an internet sensation after she was caught on tape by an LA rapper who claimed she asked for crack cocaine in lieu of payment for appearing in his music video. [CLICK HERE to watch.]
After Campbell’s first tape, it was revealed that the actress was suffering from mental illness in addition to her drug use. [READ: The Sad Truth About Maia Campbell] and it seemed things were looking up for the former child star.
Maia’s family even spoke out on her behalf in a prepared statement released to the media. Now, after reportedly going through treatment, Maia’s alarming new video is almost as bad as the first:
The new video shows Maia babbling nonsensical phrases to someone inside of a house, and later to anyone within earshot while pacing up and down a Los Angeles street. The people taping are clearly aware of who she is and the value of their recording…. you can even hear one girl yelling “Do you know who that is? That’s Maia Campbell from ‘In the House’.”
Maia was spotted “clean & sober” back in February of this year, but that didn’t last too long. Last month she charged with possession of a controlled substance, driving under the influence, and driving without a license and a probation violation after pulled over by police for erratic driving, a search of her vehicle turned up one vial of cocaine.
This young lady seriously needs our prayers…
This is so sad. She is soooo beautiful. I remember when she use to play on "South Central" with Larenz Tate. I always pinned her for the part as "Winter" in The Coldest Winter Ever……..if the book EVER became a movie. May The Almighty cover and protect her.

She is in my prayers but where is her family now? Someone should be on 24hr Maia duty to stop this insanity!
Her mom BeBe Moore Campbell (the author) passed away. Did I hear her mention she has a daughter by an English man? Or was that part of her "crack" rant?
I know people get a laugh out of stuff like that but it really is sad. I feel sorry for her. I will pray that God save her life before someone have to put her in the ground six feet deep. She needs help and I can not understand why no one is trying to help. Things that happened to her in life (death of her mother)and I read that she has some type of mental illness has really affected her life in a horrible way.

Why black people get off when someone is doing bad in there life. They standing there making fun of her & laughing at her. When they need to be trying to help her. Its very sad. But that is how our people are careless.

This is not nice!! I can’t believe people, especially black people would put her and themselves out there like this. This is just another thing for people to say about our mental state as a people that we would relish in someone else’s pain and sickness. When are we gonna come together and get our minds and our souls right black people??? You all should be ashamed of yourselves for shooting this and posting this and even encouraging her to make a fool of herself!!
This is the reality faced by millions of people everyday. Maia is a crack head. Plain and simple. Do I feel sorry for her??? NO!!! She had every opportunity in the world to get help and treatment. She obviously has not hit rock bottom. It won’t be a suprise when she is either murdered or OD’s. At least she will be a peace

Money doesn’t equal common sense or some one knowing what’s best for them when they’re bi-polar, ie Mel Gibson, Bobby Brown, have proven that self medication only worsens the problem! Her mom tried, God rest her soul, and God bless this child with some one who REALLY cares enough to get her some REAL help. I’m black but I’m also ASHAMED of my so called "people". Negro’s WAKE UP!!!
