As if you didn’t already know, Real Housewives of Atlanta castmember Lisa Wu Hartwell (one of the only REAL housewives on the show) will be leaving this season.
Atlanta housewife newbie Cynthia Bailey’s drama filled wedding took place this past weekend and Lisa Wu Hartwell was a no-show. Her absence sparked rumors that she was no longer part of the show. Reports now say that she and Bravo have parted ways over “creative differences”.
I’ve called Lisa’s storyline “boring” on many occasions and apparently that’s Bravo’s assessment as well. A source close to Atlanta Housewives production says,
“They basically wanted to script elements of Lisa’s life and make her amp up the drama. She wasn’t with that at all. Lisa felt like if her real life alone wasn’t enough for the network, then maybe it was time for her to go.”
I’ve heard tales of Bravo producers begging Lisa to create drama within her household so that viewers would stay interested but she refused. [Good for her!]
With a successful real estate business, as well as a book launching soon, Lisa’s got a lot going on besides the show anyway. Ed Hartwell also recently launched a new fitness calendar.

Lisa and Ed are such a cute couple and while it may be “boring” to watch them besides the likes of drama-filled NeNe Leakes, it’s refreshing that they keep their love alive without all that “extra”.
Now for the juicy stuff!
Cynthia Bailey married entrepreneur Peter Thomas last weekend in a ceremony that was taped for the show. Thomas is/was owner of Atlanta’s Uptown Restaurant and Lounge.
Word on the street is that the location is now closed due to some unpaid expenses and there is a lien on the building in excess of $25,000. I’ve also heard that there were many employees that showed up for work a few days ago who were totally caught off guard by the closing.
This current state of affairs is not surprising at all, being that Bravo intentionally chooses their “housewives” based on drama factor. We’ve all been trying to figure out what Bailey’s spin will be on the show and if this restaurant closing is any indication, I’m sure we’ll be seeing some Fox-5 type investigations on her new hubby, like they did NeNe’s.

Lisa & Ed should count their departure from RHOA as a compliment. The purpose of reality show is for broke azz narcissistic people to show their azzes. If you are not willing to degrade yourself, then reality shows are not for you.

These negroes are stupid for allowing these white folk to exploit them. I applaud Lisa for not caving to the coonery. Bravo’s network should be cancelled, outright. Personally I, and many others, enjoyed the calm relationship Lisa shares with her husband. NeNe’s coonery is enough for the entire show. People don’t want to see drama all the time. The producer/s (no doubt white folk) of RHOL should be fired. All they want to do is exploit black folk for network ratings…slavery…white-faced coonery all over again. And NeNe seems like she would do anything…and I mean ANYTHING…to be a "star", and/or to make a buck. She’s pathetic and sad, to say the least. She’s a joke. Get it together Bravo! Educated black folk, yeah we do exist, think that your network supports new-aged slavery.

Lisa was and remain my favorite. She sat in the cuts, kept it solid and did her thang. NeNe is fake, Kandi is cool, Kim needs to be slapped, Sheree is a legend in her own mind. If Lisa is not on there I won’t watch, period. **** I’m lying I will watch just to talk about them hoes. But Lisa will be missed, that’s the homie.
I’m proud of Lisa, there is no reason to make your life chaotic so that other people can exploit you. Just be happy and successful in your own right.
I think it is good for Lisa that she stood up & said NO she wont lie & create drama just for tv. GOOD FOR HER. Now perhaps she will have a real chance to get custody of her sons since she wont be on tv.
As far as her work, I dont think she is a successful as stated. All those website she posted about dont work: the real estate website, the jewlry website, the closet freak website, the wugurls website ALL DON T WORK.

I liked Lisa… but truth be told! Nee Nee is the most popular housewife out of all the franchises. I had the chance to meet her here in DC.. and she was a sweetheart! Very comfortable… and having a great time! When I lived in Atlanta, I also had the chance to meet Kandy! She was stuck up and rude… the sad part about this, and Xscape along with her ex Gerald Levert said the same thing. She plays sweet on the show but the entire time she is messy and wanted the spotlight from Nee Nee to get that wack music heard! Thats the only reason why she helped Kim in the first place! And the sad part about it… is that non singing heffa sold more copies of that song then she did with Fly Above! pathetic…
