Reality Show Alert! Maia Campbell is Up Next…

Actress Maia Campbell became an instant online celebrity after THIS video hit the net, showing Maia dazed & confused and apparently selling her body for crack. After it was revealed that the woman in the video was not just a regular ole “crack whore”, but a former child star who was addicted to drugs, the internet went wild and the video was a viral sensation.

Most wondered how Maia could go from being the beautiful actress – who worked acted alongside celebs in television sitcoms including LL Cool J and Alphonso Ribiero in In The House and Lorenz Tate in South Central- to the wacked out face of the “anti-horney” but the truth about Maia’s condition was that not only was she addicted to drugs, but she was a long-term sufferer of a mental disorder. Maia’s family eventually issued a statement acknowledging her drug addiction and mental disorder and Maia finally admitted herself to rehab. Now, after several months of therapy, she’s planning to put her life story on television:

Wacked-out former actress Maia Campbell is working on a new reality show based on her drug addiction and bi-polar disorder, and how she seeks out help to maintain a normal and healthy lifestyle. The announcement comes months after the once star of LL Cool J’s In The House was videotaped offf her meds and spazzing out in a broke down Monte Carlo.

Former child star turned vixen turned You Tube trainwreck, Maia Campbell has teamed up with Reality TV producer Jaysen “Av Action” Accius to start filming the pilot for a reality series that follows her journey as she attempts to pick up the pieces of a once beautiful life while dealing with her addictions and Bi Polar disorder. Maia and the producers of the show are hoping that this show will aid in giving a voice to the thousands of people diagnosed with Bi Polar Disorder every year and the families, friends and communities that struggle to support them. This is the kind of craziness that’s MADE for TV (pun intended). At least this show plans to acknowledge the mental disorders first hand instead of just letting us draw our own conclusions about the mental capacity of the casts… i.e. Frankie & Neffe.
