The Collective Renaissance Guild (CRG), (pictured above with newly elected Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed) held its 2nd Annual Winter Ball at the Persian Galleries last Saturday (December 5, 2009). Special guests included members of Atlanta’s business, entertainment and political communities, along with several celebrities.
This year, CRG honored actress Nicole Ari Parker, Rainforest Films’ Will Packer and Rob Hardy for their artistic innovation and their contribution to the growth of Atlanta’s film industry.

In addition to the honorees, other notables spotted at CRG’s 2009 Winter Ball included Atlanta’s mayor elect Kasim Reed, BET’s 106 and Park Terrence J, Devyne Stephens, Celebrity Hairstylist Derek J., Frank Ski of V-103, super producer Jazze Pha, Peachtree TV’s Ryan Glover, Dwight Eubanks, former radio host Rashan Ali, music executive Jerry Clark, DJ Trauma and more:

Themed Make Believe, the atmosphere of the 2nd Annual Winter Ball reflected the hospitality and warmth of the Persian influence. Guests experienced an ambiance filled with unique tapestries; received complimentary henna’s and was entertained by exotic belly dancers, fire performers, a hookah lounge, and live carpet looming. Fine delicacies were provided by Rumi’s Kitchen with an open bar sponsored by Hennessy Black. Poet Hank Stewart performed his interpretation of artistic innovation by sharing a tribute the 2009 honorees. The evening was hosted by former radio host Rashan Ali.
