Lil Mama Responds: She Had No Idea Jay-Z Didn’t Want Her Onstage (Video)
Lil Mama recently reveals that she had absolutely no idea that Jay-Z didn’t want her onstage with he and Alicia Keys during the closing performance of the 2009 MTV VMAs. Even though he tapped her on the leg and even though she heard him say something bout “T-Pain-ing” (a reference to rapper T-Pain hoppin onstage unsolicited during a previous Jay-Z performance of D.O.A.). Lil Mama says she didn’t realize anything was wrong until she saw the video later. She also issued (yet another) apology to Jay-Z:
To Jay in Particular, as a Brooklyn native (whom I am also)…in that moment there was nothing but respect and honor. It was a joyous moment. Whenever we share happiness or celebration…I mean that’s how a reaction takes place usually and it’s graceful. It’s never to disrespect you know. And I meant no harm. I was enjoying myself and I was enjoying his performance.
In case you missed it, here’s Lil Mama apology No. 1. I swear the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards should go down in history as THE most apologetic event EVER! Peep the video below:

September 18, 2009 @ 1:37 pmAm I the only one that did not really see anything wrong with what Lil Mama did?? Isn’t she from New York?? Come on, Camel. I thought Brooklynites are supposed to represent together. I am really getting tired of Camel’s attitude. His ego is way too big with is Biggie Smalls wanna be azz.
Camel and home wrecker both need to sit their azzes down.
Team Lil Mama on this one.
Sidebar: Don’t you all remember when he mushed a girl in the face once and it was caught on tape??

September 18, 2009 @ 1:38 pmI am so madd at everybody… I don’t think that either of them would have had a problem with Kanye or Lil’ Wayne jumping on stage. So just because it was a Lil’ Mama (a d-lister), but someone who still holds her own respectively, they had a problem with it. I believe her when she said that she was excited. Hell, I was at home and damn near jumped through the TV screen. LOL!!! I was hype- forreal!!! I hate when “stars” shun the “little” people. But isn’t it the little people that make them who they are. All 400,000+ people that bought BP3 should have rushed the stage and struck a pose with…
I see boths side. Lil’ Mama’s timing and her “pose” was soooo off! She looked ridiculous up there. Not to mention that fact that she looked like she had on an outfit from Kohl’s… WOW!!!
