DJ Unk was rushed to the hospital last weekend complaining of chest pains. The “Walk It Out” rapper had shortness of breath combined with chest pains and thought it may have been a heart attack. Doctors were able to reverse the effects of whatever he’d been smoking and as the pain subsided Unk hit up his twitter account:

In case you missed it, check out Jay-Z’s interview on HBO’s Real Time with Bill Maher last night. This is one of the best interviews I’ve seen in a minute. I’ve always considered Jay-Z a lyrical genius, well…apparently Bill Maher does too! Maher presented Jiggaman, who’s known for not writing down his lyrics, a bound, hard copy book that lists all of his lyrics to date. The book was also embossed with the letter “B” for Beyonce Jay’s hometown of Brooklyn.
Maher took time to break down a few of Jay-Z’s lyrics and they also discussed Jay’s many retirement efforts. Jay even talked about his upcoming 40th birthday, December 2nd, as Maher jokingly called him middle-aged. Peep the interview below:
Rapper Too Short aka Todd Shaw was arrested yesterday in Vegas for drunk driving:
Cops say rapper Too Short was too far over the legal limit to be driving around Las Vegas this morning.
According to law enforcement, Short — real name Todd Shaw — was arrested for DUI, possession of less than one ounce of marijuana, speeding and exhibition of power (burning rubber) by Las Vegas Metro Police at around 4:00 AM.
It’s the second time Short’s been popped for DUI — in Las Vegas — in the last three months.
Cops say the 43-year-old is still behind bars. (Source)
Dayum Todd! Umma need you to straighten up. Life is too short…
Chris Brown was spotted partying the night away just moments after being sentenced in an LA courthouse for assaulting Rihanna. Since the spot that he partied in served alcohol, the 20 year old singer could possibly face charges of violating his 5 year probation order, which clearly states Chris is to “abstain from the use of all alcoholic beverages and stay out of places where they are the chief item of sale.”
I’m almost positive Chris will get out of this one too but E!News spoke with the Los Angeles Probation Department and they’re not taking this lightly:
The singer hit the nightspot Guys & Dolls just hours after receiving a probation order in court.
Los Angeles Probation Department Spokeswoman Kari Webb tells E! News that if Chris Brown broke his probation by being at a “21 and up” establishment, “It won’t be taken lightly.”
“Any time you break the law, you’re in violation,” Webb told E! News when asked whether being underage in a bar would be a probation violation. “If you break the law, you’re in trouble.”
John Carr of the Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control tells E! News that Guys & Dolls holds a Type 48 liquor license, which makes it a bar or nightclub and not a restaurant. This means that no one under 21 can legally be on the premises unless they have been hired as a performer. Carr also says that even if an underage entertainer is working in a bar or nightclub, they are required by law to stay in an area where no alcohol is being served or consumed.
While Brown wasn’t seen drinking anything but water, his table ordered 10 bottles of champagne.
