What Really Happened: Chris Brown & Rihanna… Blow By Blow
The officer’s report from the the night Chris Brown beat up Rihanna has hit the net detailing a graphic account of what really went down in that vehicle between the couple. It’s so important to reveal these key facts, since most younger women have been desensitized to the fact that it is NEVER okay for a man to hit a woman. I’ve read countless blog posts and essays about the Chris Brown/Rihanna incident that made my heart bleed. Specifically, ones that lend a sympathetic ear towards Brown and imply that Rihanna shouldn’t have struck him first (or at all). I’m not by any means stating that Chris Brown shouldn’t be forgiven, but I AM stating the obvious, he beat Rihanna’s “A”zz and that’s not OK under any circumstances. Point..Blank…Period. Chris Brown proved what type of man was that night. Some of my other blogger buddies may beg to differ but I’ll always be on this side of the fence. Hopefully, his “therapy” and “anger management” classes will aid in changing who he is but it took 19+ years to get him there and it’ll probably take twice as long to change him. Sad but true.
Here’s the full blow by blow via TMZ:
The court has released the officer’s report from the night Chris Brown beat up Rihanna which describes the entire incident in graphic detail. According to the report, L.A. cops responded to a “screaming woman”and when they arrived, they noticed a “very upset and crying” Rihanna seated in the driver’s seat of a parked vehicle.
“The victim said she became enraged and slammed both of her fists against the dashboard on the passenger side of the car they were in. She reported that the defendant then pulled the vehicle over and reached over her with his right hand. He opened the car door and tried to force the victim out.”
According to the report, Brown was unable to shove Rihanna out of the car because she was wearing a seatbelt.
The report continues, “When he could not force her to exit, he took his right hand and shoved her head against the passenger window of the car. ”
Rihanna told police she tried to call her personal assistant, but she didn’t pick up — but Rihanna says she “pretended to talk, saying, ‘I’m on my way home. Make sure the cops are there when I get there.’”
Rihanna says she pulled the act “because she did not want to get beat anymore.”
But after Rihanna’s fake phone conversation, she claims Brown “looked at [Rihanna] and said, “You just did the stupidest thing ever! Now I’m really going to kill you!”
Rihanna told cops that Brown unleashed a second wave of punches, “during which time [Rihanna] interlocked her fingers behind her head and brought her elbows forward to protect her face.” He continued to punch her on her left arm, which caused a contusion on her left tricep.
At that point Rihanna tried texting her assistant. Brown threw the phone out of the car, stopped the vehicle and Rihanna then tried opening her door to get out, but Brown sped off and the door shut with Rihanna inside.
Brown placed Rihanna in a headlock while he drove, then bit her on her left ear. The car eventually stopped and Rihanna took the keys out of the ignition, and Brown began to punch her again in the face and arms. He placed her in a headlock and started applying pressure to her carotid artery. She couldn’t breathe and began to lose consciousness. She tried freeing herself, and Brown bit her left ring and middle fingers and then released her.
Rihanna took off her shoe and tried breaking the passenger window, and he continued to punch her.
Eventually, Brown got out of the car. Rihanna opened the door and continued screaming. Brown began punching her again. He got back in the car and screamed “Where are my f***ing keys?” He got out, looked for the keys in vain, and when he could not find them removed several CDs and walked away.
Officers were called and observed numerous contusions and abrasions to Rihanna’s face and forehead, as well as bruising on her left arm. There were other injuries as well.
Investigators determined Brown was wearing a large ring on his right hand which caused several of Rihanna’s injuries.

August 27, 2009 @ 2:23 pmI agree. This should not ever be forgiven. No woman should ever fear a man putting his hands on her. I hate this happened and that it was so public but on the other hand it’s a good example of what is not permissible. I hope more women realize that they do not have to take abuse from men.

August 27, 2009 @ 2:32 pmYou pretty much are saying he shouldn’t be forgiven by saying “he proved what type of man he is that night.” I don’t claim to know neither of them. I have heard terrible things about their toxic relationship and co-dependency issues. I’ve heard terrible things about Rihanna’s temper. The court papers prove that their relationship has gotten violent and physical in the past, with one instance of Rihanna striking him first and him reacting by pushing her.
I do not in any way condone what Chris did and I do not for a minute claim to know what happened in that car outside of what’s in the court papers. I do, however, believe that these two young, immature, needy children brought out the worst in each other and this one incredibly horrible incident shouldn’t brand who they’ll be as people for the rest of their lives — neither of them.
Chris has done good in his career, professionally and personally. He’s always giving back to his community. He, at only 20, still has time to make a further difference if afforded the opportunity to make good on his promise to change and get treatment. But people have to give him that chance. You can’t say he can be forgiven if you don’t allow him the chance to right his wrong. If he fails, fine. Throw the book at him. But surely there’s enough cause for him to be given a second chance.
Essay done. Not trying to change anyone’s mind, just stating my opinion.

August 27, 2009 @ 3:17 pmMaybe there should have been some stipulations in his sentence to grow through some extensive counseling since Chris endured so much from his childhood. Somewhere in his mind he had to feel justified to just gather his things and walk away. Chris is very young and I feel a victim of his youth. Makes you wonder how many times did he see the male in his house beat his mom and leave her mom take him back making Chris think his mom’s attacker was justified. Believe it or not Chris is a victim too he should be punished but also rehabilitated.

August 27, 2009 @ 7:19 pmI don’t care what the record “states” I don’t think that this is the whole story. Although some things may be true I do not think that she would allow him to just whip on her without hitting him back. She made it seem like she was just defensless…come on now a natural reaction for anybody is to fight back…where was she at on that one…who just allows a person to drive without trying to take the wheel and the keys…I need it from the horses mouth I’m not saying he did not hit her…but what did she do to him FOR-REAL????

August 31, 2009 @ 3:19 amPeople seem to kind of get whats up now…What Chris did was wrong but I believe it was basically a war between these two people who were obviously sick of each other and needed to either split up and stop seeing each other or fight each other like maniacs and in the end Chris brown won, but anyone who thinks Rihanna did nothing to defend herself is kidding themselves. She hit him multiple times and she was also the one who threw the first punch in the car with chris. Also she bit him on the arm while he had her in the headlock, causing him to bite her on the ear. Once again Chris should have held back and he chose not too as i have and i know others who have and deserves a second chance as well as Rihanna. Anybody who believes Rihanna was the victim is a fool. She decided to fight with Chris therefore it meant nothing. its a war between two very pissed off individuals
