Rihanna’s outfit at last night’s Costume Institute Gala at The Met was mean to catch your attention and it did! Y’all can act like you’re not feeling this get up all you want to…but I can already feel the wave of 80’s babies searching the net for shoulder pads as we speak. Hell if Sara Jessica Parker can go from a 80’s ’square peg’ to a Sex and the City fashion icon, I guess Rihanna can do vice versa…

i am torn on this one… for me, this event is where there are supposed to be so many well-dressed ppl that it blows the mind, but most were pretty ******* ‘blah’: on that level, rihanna wins b/c she stood out and did somet WAY different. and really, the only thing i DON’T like about it are the crazy 80’s shoulder pads… and even those wouldn’t be that bad if they weren’t so exaggerated.
all-in-all ~ she got front page on ALL the costume gala coverage (well, her and madonna: yuck!), so regardless of whether the outfit is great, it did what it intended to do.
Hated it.
Just because RiRi throws something on doesn’t make it hot.
