I was perusing Essence yesterday and ran across Keyshia Cole’s sister Neffe speaking about recent gossip and rumors. Being that I’ve had a few encounters with KeyCo’s big sis, my radar went off as I delved into the article. All I can say is, publicity is KING! Neffe goes in on gossip and “rumors” and addresses the most recent one about her mother being killed in a car accident. She states that the rumor mill started with Wendy Williams but I think it all started with a crazy “A”zz text message.

After clearing up that vicious rumor about her mother, she went on to address her recent pregnancy. What I found odd was that Neffe also addressed the pregnancy as a “rumor” stating:

“We take the good with the bad. I’ve been dealing with it probably more than my mom; like the rumor that I was pregnant again, which I am not. I don’t make up rumors because it’s putting out bad karma. My mom doesn’t even want to leave the house now until this passes over. You have to take it for what it’s worth, pray and just deal with it.”

Correct me if I’m wrong…but didn’t Neffeteria actually confirm her own pregnancy? Her moms and her own man were claiming that she was 3+ months preggers and then suddenly the pregnancy just disappears? Hell, she even told me out of her own mouth that she thought she was but it was a mistake and that she didn’t know what was going on with her body.

I don’t know what’s going on with her, but I think it’s time she hired a publicist or at least kept track of her own stories. Shiiish! It’s not that hard….I did it and I don’t even care that much:

Neffe actually confirmed to Sister2Sister’s Jamie Foster-Brown that she was preggers. Like, the words actually came out of HER mouth? That doesn’t make it a “rumor” that makes it a “lie”…

“I’m pregnant and I got an attitude with him and don’t want him to f***ing touch me right now—or ever,” Neffe told Jamie. “Because I—was not supposed to happen this way. Now I’m trying to figure this s**t out, ’cause I just had Jaylen.”

Oh…and didn’t her mom Frankie recently appear on Atlanta radio station V-103 blasting the pregnancy and basically called her boo Soullow a deadbeat…then she and Soullow issued their “official response” to the media where she counts down all her kids (and actually says at 1:59 that she’s pregnant)?…and now it’s all just a “rumor”? Gimme a break!

*sigh* some people must not realize that once it’s out there you can’t take it back. It’s your body and you can do whatever you want with it but if you seek to be in the public eye you can’t be a flip flopper and not expect to get called out on it. We all know you’re seeking publicity and interviews but at least be consistent about the stories you tell. That’s all I ask anyway…

Moving on… Soullow also spoke up about his feelings regarding ‘us’ bloggers:

The former head cook at Applebee’s, states “People claim it’s freedom of speech but these blogs are just another way for folks to talk about people without showing their faces,” he says, about the gossip written about him and Neffe. “If they want to exercise that freedom in a devilish or godly manner then that’s up to them, but I won’t participate in it.

Whatever Soullow… one word: “riblets.”
