    Huh…..
I am not going to make this story about my favorite artist of our generation but I love Erykah Badu. She is my musical sun that rises in the rain and shines during the middle of a sand storm.

We’ve all heard the phrase he or she was born as an old person. I feel that way about Erykah. She is really a breath from the Harlem Renaissance movement with Langston Hughes or Billie Holiday. Or maybe she is a breeze from the Black Power Movement with Angela Davis or Roy Ayers.
Or she could be a vibration from the Hip Hop culture of the 80’s, The Sol Sonic Force or the landscape painters of New York City.

Most People don’t get her artistic vapors.

Anyway, I sit every year waiting to see what magical poetry she is going to grace us with.

    I love her.

Another classic from ‘Kast. I remember reading somewhere that Badu wanted this for her cd but ‘Kast wasn’t giving up this one.

Lauryn Hill had a chance to shut the rap game down and rep hard for the ladies but lost her mind. smh

I like Jean Grae but not enough to go out and purchase her music yet.
