Lisa Wu-Hartwell, NeNe Leakes and Sheree Whitfield left their comfy confines of North Atlanta to make a trip over to the Eastside last weekend.  The three Real Housewives of Atlanta paid a visit to Dekalb County’s South Dekalb Mall for a special panel discussion with host/moderator V-103’s Ryan Cameron.

The housewives event was orignally scheduled for 4:00pm Saturday but got a late start because all of the housewives had not arrived. By about 4:30pm Ryan finally took the stage and blamed Sheree as the late culprit.  A crowd of about 200 fans cheered and screamed their names as they finally got started.  Questions were prepared in advance, but the biggest revelation came when the trio announced that Season Two would finally begin filming on Monday (today).

Check out a few of the questions/answers addressed on the panel below:

What were the best and worst parts of being on camera?

NeNe: “Everyone is digging in your business thinking they know me. They don’t know me!” she said. “However, I wouldn’t change it for the world.”

“Everyone is judging you because they’ve seen an hour of your life,” Sheree said. “The best part is seeing so many young people and I’ve inspired them.”

Have you spoken to DeShawn Snow? Was she too normal to be on the show?

Lisa: “That wasn’t the reason she wasn’t on it. We are who we are. There’s no phoniness about her. The problem she didn’t really engage.”

Nene: “We talk to her regularly. She was disappointed she didn’t have a chance to come back. it wasn’t because she was normal.”

“And we’re abnormal?” Lisa said.

“The real deal,” NeNe said. “You need a bigger-than-life personality. She just didn’t have it.”

“Where is Kim?” and “Who is Big Papa?”

Lisa: “We’re not telling.”

“She’s in California,” NeNe said.

“Singing?” someone yelled in the audience to laughs.

Online poll — Who was the bitchiest?  Sheree won.

Sheree does not apologize: “When you have an African American woman who is strong, she’s considered a bitch.”

Why were Lisa’ s two other children not on the show? Keith Sweat wouldn’t let them.

When asked to address the Chris Brown/Rihanna situation:

NeNe: “For me, the reason I decided to talk about domestic violence. It was healing. I had already healed and moved on. I thought this was a way to help out other women. It was hard for me to get out of the situation I was in. If I can do, you can do it.”

Lisa: “Our stories were never trying to expose anyone. It shouldn’t matter. The fact we overcame is what matters. It can happen to anybody. Chris Brown/Rihanna. You don’t know what’s going on. But there is happiness afterwards.”

Sheree discussed her new clothing line She By Sheree and stated that it will hit shelves by fall. She also stated that she doesn’t read blogs…(yeah right ) and Lisa says she used to read them but doesn’t anymore.

NeNe wants to make it clear that they get paid for doing the show. Y’all know they don’t do it for free! She also wants everyone to know that they are being paid more for season two than season one and that it’s in the 6 figures. I’m not quite sure why NeNe felt the need to disclose her financial situation. Well…I take that back.  She was labeled “the broke one” after that whole Fox5 I-team investigation, so I assume she wants us all to know her bank account is back up to par.  Sheree is still her fabulous self and Lisa wants everyone to know that it’s all Keith Sweat’s fault that y’all can’t see her kids on TV. I didn’t miss Kim at all and the audience even joked about her being away (asking if she was somewhere singing…LOL!)

I went to check out Kim’s Blog to see what she’s been up to but it appears Big Papa must have stopped her monthly payments.  Her site is being held hostage by the webmaster until she pays up and whoever it is has even put up a post stating “This site will temporariy be “non-active” due to failure of payment. ~ Webmaster”

I can’t take it. Where’s the I-Team when you need ‘em…
