Check out the new commercial for CitiBank featuring the queen, Mary J. Blige. Blige has recently signed a promotional deal with the bank and will be featured in its credit card ad campaign. The commercial above is already being televised but there are also Citicard member promotions where every time cardmembers use participating Citi credit cards they will automatically be entered for a chance to win two Grand Prizes which include joining the group Nickelback for an exclusive backstage experience in three cities or joining Mary J. Blige during an intimate and exclusive studio session as she records material for a new album. Hmmm…the choice is yours.
MC Breed (full name Eric Breed) died in his sleep at a friend’s house in Ypsilanti, a suburb of Detroit. He was pronounced dead Saturday, November 22, 2008. Breed, 37, had been suffering from kidney failure.
“We are saddened by our great loss. More than just an artist, we mourn the loss of a beloved father, son, brother and friend,” his family and management said. “We are thankful and blessed to have been in his presence and want him to be remembered for his creative, caring, talented and hard-working spirit.”
The 2008 American Music Awards aired live last night and if you missed it…you really didn’t miss much. Most of the noteworthy performances, (i.e. Beyonce) were full copies of their video routines and others were simply so-so.
Jamie Foxx and T.I. were captured in the studio during the recording of Foxx’s new single, “Just Like Me”. The song is produced by Tricky Stewart and The-Dream and will be the first single from Jamie’s new CD, Man’s Intuition. In the song, Jamie finds a girl who’s just like him and he doesn’t like it one bit… 😆
Usher hit up MC Serch’s radio show and gave major props to Puff…ummm I mean Diddy for helping him back in the day. Ursh also credits Jermaine Dupri for helping him find his true “sound” and his Moms for keeping the money in order. Funny thing is…Usher mentions all these people but never utters his wife Tomeka’s name, even when Serch hit him up with the “older woman” question. He also seems to flinch a bit when asked about why he initially called off the wedding. I don’t think he saw that one coming… 😆
