New Video ~ “Heartless” ~ Kanye + The Power of the Blog
You can’t ever say that Kanye West doesn’t try new things! In his new video for “Heartless,” Mr. West enters a world of animation. There are quite a few cameos from futuristic superstars, the Jetson’s, who are prominently featured on artwork in Kanye’s cartoon home. I hate to say it folks, but Kanye’s singing has started to grow on me. I know you like it too…don’t front!
Kanye also explained his decision to turn from hip-hop to pop in an interview with a Singapore news outlet. In his usual arrogant swag, Ye explained how his new style of music should be described as “pop-art” and that his goal is to be the greatest performer of this generation. He gives much love to his homie T-Pain in the interview and even shows off his singing skills without the vocoder. When asked about his experiences with the media, Kanye quickly pointed out the power of the blog:
My relationship with the media? O.K…That’s why I love having a blog because it’s like, BAM! I can say exactly what I want, the amount of stuff I want…and then it just goes out to everywhere else, it may end up on CNN.
That’s the greatest thing about having a blog. Before that…you would have to go through the media.
Dayum! Kanye’s just letting all the good secrets out these days.

November 7, 2008 @ 1:19 pmI kinda agree with you on his signing. Its starting not to sound strange. But IMHO its the beats. I just cant get with the production. Its strange production, its definitely unique but its not going over well with me. But I’m most def keeping my mind open and listening and watching what hes putting out.
But the best part of his “new direction” is that his lyrics are great. He has some very nice lyrics. So I’m listening more intently just to hear what hes saying. Like I said on another blog, sometimes you can say more singing than you can rapping, especially about love. Or rather its easier to get out what your trying to say singing imho.

November 9, 2008 @ 7:35 pmNow this I like, Kanye has always been revolving his music and it shows. I don’t think anyone like him personally, but he is an good entertainer. I have to agree this is a good song and it grew on me with one spin. Does anyone know if this is on a released CD yet?
