Griff from “The A Team Morning Show” Speaks
Comedian Griff aka Griffy2k or Griffy2Trillion (real name: Arlen Griffin), former host of Hot 107.9’s “The A Team Morning Show” speaks up about the unexpected termination of his show. The show aired as usual this morning and from all reports, none of the team knew that it was their last day on the air. How foul was that? Well, Griff…Rashan…you each have a voice over here! I love you both and wish you all the best.
Griff’s Statement:
“The last 3 years and 6 months at Radio One have been a life changing experience. I thank my spiritual Father for the friends that I’ve met and worked with because I’ve learned so much and have grown as a person here in Atlanta. I’m excited about my future, I have a strong team of people helping to take me to new heights, and I will continue to make people laugh all over Atlanta at events and comedy clubs, while serving the community through my foundation, Positive Vibes. When I got home today, I read a book that said: ‘On this day the will of God is done in my life.’ That was all the closure I needed.”
Dayum! I’m gonna miss y’all together.

August 29, 2008 @ 12:10 pmFrom V-103 to 107.9 have really screwed Griff over. Griff is a really good guy who is very spiritually grounded and a wonderful person to call a friend. God is opening another door for you Griff and your blessings are going to fall more than anyone in your circle. 107.9 I am no longer a fan and will not listen to your shows again.

August 30, 2008 @ 11:23 amGriff is a terrible comedian, I hate he lost his job at the station especially during these turbulent times, but his comedy is wack! I will miss Searcy and Rashaun. I hope Ricky Smiley does a better job.

October 17, 2008 @ 11:51 pmi hate like hell this has happen. i am a dedicated listner to the A team morning show! you all have grown with one another and i can tell that you all are very close. it’s nothing like going to a job you enjoy and enjoying the folks that you work with. this is sadden news, the economy has alot to do wth these cuts but i’m feeling like 107.9 could have maybe tried harder keeping you all if it meant cutting time. but much love and respect to each and everyone of you. all of you have a talent and remember when one door shuts god opens up another and it WILL BE BETTER, B bless yall!!
