3 Years for Da Brat (Video)
Shawntae Harris aka Da Brat has been sentenced to 3 years in jail following an altercation at Jermaine Dupri’s Studio 72 last fall. The victim, Shayla Stevens, was working as a waitress at the nightclub when Da Brat struck her in the head with a bottle of rum after the waitress bumped into her. This sentence concludes the criminal case, however Stevens has a civil case pending against Da Brat for unspecified medical and other costs.

Superior Court Judge Gail Flake also sentenced the rapper, whose real name is Shawntae Harris, to seven years probation and 200 hours of community service. Harris also must get substance abuse treatment and a mental evaluation and attend anger management classes. (Source)
