<description>Now for anyone who didn&#039;t know it, Terrance Dean the author of the new book about the DL controversy has had a book signing at Outright Bookstore located on the corner of 10th and Piedmont yesterday evening. Now supposedly the book is a tell all book about his exploit&#039;s with different rappers and singers from the hip hop community. The thing is it&#039;s a tell all book that isn&#039;t naming any names. The reader is forced to guess at the person/artist that the writer is writing about.

I am bringing Mr. Dean up because from what I understand about the book is his experiences parallel what the DL Chronicles attempts to do which is give a realistic perspective on the lives of some personalities that for whatever reason feel they have too much at stake to be all out gay.
I think what the most disturbing thing that will be for most black women in particularly is the normalcy of the characters portraid in the movie.

There are four different short story&#039;s on the DVD.
The first movie is about a married couple who decides to let the wifes brother come and stay with them for a short term and some things happen.
The second movie is about a father/daughter relationship which takes a turn after the father meets a friend. The third mini movie is about a thug personality that do what he do in the shadows of the world. The fourth and final mini movie is about a family affair.
I must say that in the scheme of a long line/history of gay cinematic buffoonery and anticdotes that show us as a deficient group of individuals who are just out to turn the whole world gay that this series of short films show us gay people as just regular folks that go to work, find love and happiness and are connected to people who care about us.

For those of you who take comfort and solace in thinking that all of us walk around voguing and snapping our fingers when we communicate I am happy to say that most of us walk amoung you without being noticed. We are your fathers, brothers, cousins and friends.

The DL Chronicles is meant to be nothing more than entertainment. If you watch this DVD looking for answers or read any of E. Lynn Harris books and have to ask yourself questions about your personal situation then I say there is an issue even if it&#039;s only with yourself.
The DL Chroncles will thoroughly entertain you even if someone such as myself forces you to watch it. LOL....

One more thing, if Neo wants to wear lip gloss then leave the man be and let his shiny ass lips glistening in the sun or the moon or wherever he is.
