Now getting to what I heard from Greg street pertaining to JD. Although I have professional issues with Greg he had some very good points in which JD didn’t address.
One of which is about Janet Jackson who is from musical royalty herself. Why is she singing hooks on these no name brand rappers songs? I don’t think that was a good move from the record label.
Janet for years rivaled Madonna musically. she has always serviced the Kids (*** community). Whom ever is at Island Def Jam that’s over her career has seem to forgotten this. Janet is famouse for dance tracks so they need to stop trying to make her into an R&B artist. She has carved her niche out of the pop/dance category. The Kids want to dance, not ride on 24’s and watch some girl shake her *** in front of the monitor!
Madonna’s CD is serious! From beginning to end, the CD which was produced by Pharrell and Timberland is probably her hottest CD to date. I think it’s called Candy Shop. Anyway, my point being producers over at Def Jam please pay attention to your artist’s especially those one’s who have been around for a minute like Janet. You should got back and do some homewwork (research).
Janet’s audience is the Kids and they want their dance queen diva back.

June 12, 2008 @ 4:01 pmI have always liked So So Def. JD, you have had some hot groups to come out of your label. I don’t really know what’s going on between you and Greg S. but keep making the hits. Although I personally don’t really like the new Mariah Carey the formula seems to work for you guys. The same thing with Usher. His new CD is Okay but I don’t think he’ll be able to top confessions. That CD was the Bomb! Oh, and tell that nut (Usher) to stop dissing Razonda and to pay attention to his career and to stop worrying about what people are saying about Tomeka (his wife, is that her name?). She really isn’t that important to us.
