Exclusive ~ The “A” Covers the T.H.U.G. Awards
The 1st annual T.H.U.G. awards was held last night in Atlanta and the “A” was in the house! Damon Williams (from BET’s comic view) and Griffy2k (Hot107.9) co-hosted the event and there were performances by Gorilla Zoe, Gucci Mane, DJ Unk and Block Entertainment’s newest artist (whose name I can’t recall but he was a real cutie 
). Also spotted were Young Buck, Lil Troy, Yung Joc, Shawty Lo, and a gazillion other people I can’t name. I got exclusive access to them all and of course a few photos from the event.

You already know the “A” was in the house and represented to the fullest. Mr. Collipark received a T.H.U.G. award for his work in the industry and shouted out all of Atlanta in his acceptance speech.
I really can’t say that I saw much else of the event cause I spent most of my time politickin in the lobby… I had drank so much free red bull that I honestly had a hard time sittin still. But also, I’m sad to say…there was more going on there than on stage. 
Anyway, one of the oddest moments of the night was when out of the blue ”Granddaddy Souf” introduced himself to me in the lobby and proceeded to tell me his life story. All about where he was from (Florida) and what songs he had been featured on. Like…for real can you say “Extra”…he saw me talkin to Shawty Lo’s peeps and I guess he figured he could ease his way in. Anyway, turns out ole boy was an imposter and was called out when it was time for the real “Grandaddy Souf” to perform.
Shouts out to Prince of Gino Green Global who received his T.H.U.G. award early in the evening. Prince was nice enough to holla at me at Landmark where all who snuck out early landed for a quick meal.
All in all, I’m glad I attended even though I still had on my “work clothes” and stuck out like a sore thumb amongst all them “T.H.U.G.”s…. I did get alot accomplished and have some surprises in store for you guys real soon. So stay tuned…some exciting things are about to happen!

That Red Bull is the DEVIL though! I can’t drink that. One time I had two of them and I was hyper. I stopped drinking it since.

May 19, 2008 @ 1:47 amI actually had a da good time at thsi event. Griff was funny as hell. Damon could have stayed home. Shawty Lo killed it and that New Orleans Mardi gras stuff was something to see. But I think Grandaddy souf was there. I think his drunk *** missed his cue to perform.
