BREAKING NEWS ~ Atlanta Mayor’s Daughter Pleads Guilty to Drug Charges
Kai Franklin Graham, the daughter of Atlanta Mayor Shirley Franklin, pleaded guilty today to federal charges that she illegally concealed proceeds from her former husband’s transcontinental drug-trafficking ring.
Her former husband, Tremayne Graham, who had ties to the Black Mafia Family (BMF) was convicted of several drug charges and sentenced to life in prison in April 2007. The charges against Kai Franklin stem from the fact that while her husband was a fugitive, she converted cash from him into 14 postal money orders totaling $14,000. She admitted going to seven Atlanta area post offices in a single day to avoid federal financial rules that would require reports of transactions exceeding $2,000.
Franklin Graham is likely to be sentenced to three months of home confinement and three years of probation. However, if she fails to comply with terms of her plea agreement with federal prosecutors, U.S. District Judge Henry M. Herlong Jr. could increase the sentence to as much as five years in prison and a $250,000 fine. (Source – AJC)

December 19, 2007 @ 2:51 pmWhat in the hell is wrong with her?
She should be ashamed of herself embarrasing her mother like that. I’m disgusted for the mayor.
The Black Mafia? I though that was a hollywood thing. I guess not. If this is the case then that organization needs to be a lot more organized than what is being projected in the media.
Come on people let’s get it together. We have a lot of issues in this country dealing with us people of color we do not need to create new one’s.
